QUOTE(PhoenixByte @ May 19 2007, 06:29 AM) YA true! How can u judge a film based on the trailer itself yeah. no matter how i dislike their designs (other than OP), the trailer awed me silly. i'm a sucker for fast action with cool camera angles. QUOTE(PhoenixByte @ May 19 2007, 06:29 AM) Besides, do u still want an old vw and an old truck of the 80s to still roam the streets in 2007? actually bumble could be new beetle, OP can be a new truck. heck it could be set in the 80s but it might be boring. QUOTE(PhoenixByte @ May 19 2007, 06:29 AM) If you know the origin of how the transformers got their vehicle transform mode...u'll agree on the new version. not necessarily so. knowing how they got their vehicle mode doesn't mean one agrees on the new version. i've posted many times, choose la shapes from Alternators / Binaltech series. nevertheless the special effects are still cool (why can't they do it like that Citroen ad, or Nike shoe ad) even when i look at the toys, i found only OP and Bonecrusher to be nice. the rest are just ugly. |

I did saw a review for the optimus prime toy. I was so complicated, it took the guy 15 minutes just to transformed to the truck. I don't think these toys are meant for kids.

QUOTE(PhoenixByte @ May 20 2007, 04:36 PM) Oh for the love of god ! Takara makes the mold while Hasbro design, but sometimes it's hasbro own mold too (Energon/Superlink combiners for example), in the end it's still both companies product. Without Hasbro, TF won't be surviving untill today. Just because TF originate from Japan doesn't meant they know how to keep it up untill now. QUOTE(Raikkonen @ May 19 2007, 12:36 AM) Just've read the 1st post. i m a G1 purist...and i will keep my trap shut UNTIL they really screw up the movie...after all, this aint a G1 movie..it didnt have the same storyline, so it should have the same transformers...What a jerk off. We want the original characters...not the new design. The movie a failure already. Remember Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within? Total failure. wouldnt mind a movie about VICTORY in near future.. Added on May 21, 2007, 7:27 am QUOTE(carpathia @ Jan 9 2007, 12:25 PM) u know what? the new transformers redesign for the movie is so cool and this completely whoop those japanese robot design. haha..thanks for the morning laugh lad..needed that since its monday today This post has been edited by snipersnake: May 21 2007, 07:27 AM |

Found this Transformer trailer from Universal Studio Netherland..
Almost the same as the latest trailer released but minus some new scene and some new scene. The scene at the ending of the trailer is cute. i am drooling for 4 July. This post has been edited by demio121: May 21 2007, 07:30 PM |

Hehe well I for one love the designs. I personally thought that what is cartoonish should stay in the cartoon and what's badass-like should, well, stay in the movie. Personal taste I guess

more moving parts make it look more sophisticated, more complexity make it harder for critics to complain on how illogical is the conversion blablabla.

Actress Megan Fox, the beauty who joins Shia Leboeuf as the main human contingent of Michael Bay's ultimate robot brawl, has confirmed to MTV that she is signed for the sequel. "I hear they're writing it now," she tells us. "So we'll see." Fox is excited to reteam with her Cybertronian co-stars, now that she's used to acting alongside the CGI creations. "It was actually 30-foot-tall metal polls that we would talk to with cardboard cutouts for heads," she says. "They would be like Jazz's head or Optimus Prime's face and we would talk to them. And the first few takes you do you feel stupid, but then you get used to it and open up and it's actually a lot of fun." Added on May 22, 2007, 8:43 pmabit more updates: soundwave in the movie? QUOTE 'Transformers' To Feature Apple iPod Character? The 30 and 60-gigabyte models might seem big, but beware...your iPod is capable of a lot more than meets the eye, "Transformers" star Josh Duhamel revealed exclusively to MTV News. "The Transformer that will steal all the scenes I would say is this little iPod thing, [it's] crazy," he enthused. "It's pretty cool." Although he didn't mention it by name, it's possible he was talking about the Transformer known as Soundwave, a Generation-1 Decepticon who, in the original cartoon, changes from a large robot into a tape deck. While the design might have seemed cutting edge in 1985, a tape deck wouldn't fit into the hyper-modern setting for the Michael Bay-directed flick. But just because he's small, that doesn't mean this Transformer shouldn't be taken seriously. "It's like this crazy little 12-inch iPod that turns into this little killing machine," he divulged.
