QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jan 12 2007, 09:36 PM) Ur being sarcastic right? Urghh, I don't blame Michael Bay much on this. I think the design is from Hasbro, as my bro just bought Hasbro's transformers for my nephew, and it looks HORRIBLE!!! WHY CAN'T YOU LEAVE THE DESIGN TO TAKARA DAMMIT???? Hasbro and Takara teams work TOGETHER on creating TF molds, hope this will clear things up, as blaming Hasbro for whole thing just plain ignorant.

I disgress. Granted, I also wished that they used Binaltech/Alternator system for the movie. But after I saw all the teaser trailers, I think this current design is best suit for them. If Alt/Binaltech Smokescreen walks in real life, I can bet that he will fall over in no time. While Grimlock's large front bumper chest can hardly seen what's below him. I like movie starscream, and I won't be complaining about him, as he's A starscream, not THE starscream.

Well, isn't Transformers are..."sentient beings" ? XD
Comparing both starscream(s), MP version will topple with his feet like that, and the movie starscream at least can balance himself with his "chicken legs" along with squating.
Clean look or not, they are still transformers because they are robots in disguise.
But in the end you are right, this is "movie realism", not "real life realism".

That one is Masterforce. One group is a Pretender, one is group of kids is Headmaster and the last group is Godmaster, which is a more powerful one.
The small robots are not actually robots, it's just a special suit wear by human. Pretender is a real robot just they disguise themselves into human (while Decepticons are more monster-like).

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ May 19 2007, 12:36 AM) Just've read the 1st post. What a jerk off. We want the original characters...not the new design. The movie a failure already. Remember Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within? Total failure. Oh please You already failed by comparing a few years old movie and a movie that hasn't been come out yet. Better off watching cartoon at home if you don't like it.

QUOTE(PhoenixByte @ May 20 2007, 04:36 PM) I agree on the toy being ugly...Hasbro < Takara in terms of making the TF toys. Oh for the love of god ! Takara makes the mold while Hasbro design, but sometimes it's hasbro own mold too (Energon/Superlink combiners for example), in the end it's still both companies product. Without Hasbro, TF won't be surviving untill today. Just because TF originate from Japan doesn't meant they know how to keep it up untill now. QUOTE(Mgsrulz @ May 27 2007, 08:19 AM) it's the action that most people are praising, not the design More like a designs that work "perfectly well" on the screen. And yes the designs are better left for oneself to judge.
