After read ur guide 10 times , can I conclude that u yet to have any working CWM ?
doh.gif Are you kidding me? I have three recoveries there! TWRP + CWM Mod, CTR 1 (CWM based).
All have been ported, checked and further optimized for H3C based on it's partition table and device id.

You must have problem understanding my guides, coz earlier ask you to help upload B108 two times also wrong,
you failed to follow exactly my instructions, hey dude i am worried about you...
don't try anything unknown ah later real hardbrick i tak taw oh...
For example other recovery might have diff partition table, their /data could be /system in H3C, if you factory reset die lor...

EDIT: but lucky the one you posted is compatible i think. sweat.gif

The one you quoted was 'Flashable Custom ROM', ROM ROM ROM....
I cannot guarantee the one ported for china set will work on MY set either, i tried MIUI yesterday but failed to boot.

QUOTE(sitescope @ Aug 5 2014, 10:17 PM)
And also if we want to re-lock back the bootloader, can we flash UReflash only w/out B108 file (coz after re-lock , wanna flash B113)
*
You can just reverse the exact steps and skipping others, but using ROM_B108 not UReflash

If we unlock the boot loader if there's new versions of KK we just need to update via the local update method by downloading the package or can get the IT'S updates?

Re-read the KK guide the answer was there.

EDITED:
Eh sorry, to relock just flash preloader & secro from B108 directly, and all partition you have replaced, eg: recovery.

If you just want to restore B1XX no need to relock la just force update.

QUOTE(melanx @ Aug 5 2014, 10:45 PM)
I just managed to dump stock rom & unlock teh bootloader.
Thanks again for your guide.

Mind to explain what would cause the IMEIs missing when flashing custom ROM...hence the modem fix?
*
Initially i thought they have diff radio chip, but what makes me curious is that some claimed they managed to restore the IMEIs on KK with MTKDroidTool, and i think i read some ppl with China set installed B108 yet their IMEIs remains.
There are just too many mystery pending to be solved, but not by me coz my job for this device is done.

But in ur restore rom dump guide , got select userdata.img in URestore folder
Where that userdata come from ? Coz i thought has been skipped...
*
Clean empty userdata & cache la, similar to full factory reset mah..

Hi guys ! My friend recently faced a problem. I have stated my problem here, hope that someone ( huawei user ) can help my friend. I can't help her because I'm not a huawei user, and not familiar to it.

Here is the link, I help my friend to ask only.

Thanks sifu and guru and huawei users !  smile.gif

She has three options:
#1) Proceed with KitKat & use Live Recovery to apply modem fix, but can't use upgrade further unless she unlock it.
#2) Use SPFT to revert back B108 4.2, then use OTA to update to latest B113.
#3) Revert to B115 4.2 using UPDATE.APP (Ahead of Malaysia OTA B113)

Guide for all options can be found HERE, option #2 is recommended for normal user.

QUOTE(sitescope @ Aug 6 2014, 10:28 PM)
1st question, she bought AP or thru vmall ?
*
Only MY set will lose IMEI, AP set can upgrade without any problem.

How come she manage to boot & check her imei ?

Read again the KK guide you should get the answer there.

QUOTE(mynewuser @ Aug 7 2014, 12:52 PM)
Which method we can backup imei and when problem time restore back.
*
Use the guide i posted, post #3, Full ROM dump with SPFT Readback, you don't need root for that,
and i recommended everyone to create the dump right after the phone come out from the box.
You can then use guide 'Restoring Single Partition using SPFT' to restore it should you need it.

But i need to remind you all that, normally you don't need to touch that partition unless you ran a full format.
Those claim the IMEIs need to be restored after upgrade might have no clue that the missing IMEIs can be restored easily by applying modem fix.

Thanks bro ! I'll send this to her and let her do herself.  notworthy.gif  smile.gif
But I have a question, the xda thread guide didn't mention the step, so I'm not sure whether she need to do this or not.
So please guide me if I'm wrong, because I am a root user while she is not, so you guide me, I guide her.

1) boot into recovery mod
2) plug in her phone to computer
3) and then do all the steps mentioned in the xda ( Restore official stock rom using SPFT )
4) boot the phone back
5) enjoy

*the bold one I'm not sure need to boot into recover or not. Because for my s3 mini, I have to boot into recovery mode then only can flash it.

Once again, thanks.  smile.gif
*
Perhaps the one done with computer will be too complicated to her either, let's try the easiest method #3.

1) Download B115 HERE. (684 MB)
2) Extract the downloaded zip, inside got /dload/UPDATE.APP, copy whole dload folder to to dir of SDCard.
3) Power off the phone, start by pressing & holding down ALL three side buttons.
4) Wait until flashing complete, done.

* Note that everything will be deleted during the downgrade process.

Indeed using method number 2 is harder for her.

So you mean at 3rd step, the phone will automatically flash itself and reboot itself ? Am I right ?
*
Yes, correct, the only drawback is that this version is ahead of Malaysia latest OTA, but nothing bad about that IMHO.

You misunderstood. She can still receives OTA as long as the version pushed is never than B115.

Bro, my friend did this yesterday and now she cannot turn her phone on. She told me the flashing shows a success, but it can't be turned on.  hmm.gif

Is there any special button combos to boot it up ?
*
What situation? The phone should auto restart and boot to system once the upgrade process completed.
Check what she mean by 'can't be turned on'? bootloop @ logo or just black screen & vibrates?

Like sitescope said, take out the battery & retry, if still can't then no choice have to use the method #2.

Apart from method 2? Seriously there's no way to recover it back?

My friend is not having a hard brick right? Its just a soft brick isn't?

Okay, never mind , I have read the flashing official stock ROM using SPFT method, and it was normal steps for me but not for my friend, so I guess I'll take her phone back to my home and I'll help her to flash it.

BTW, what do I need for the 2nd method?

1- SPFT
2- USB CABLE
3- B108 ROM
4- COMPUTER

Anything I missed? I have a question as well, the XDA guide says we have to take the battery off and connect the phone to computer, is this true?
*
Yes there is another way, by unlocking bootloader, as soon as she do that her phone will be able to boot again,
but i am not sure if i should recommend her to unlock it as that may void the phone warranty,
not quite suitable for her and anyone who concerns about warranty/RMA, so she has only one choice left.

You will also need the drivers, yes it's recommended to take out the battery while flashing, not compulsory but highly recommended.

Okay. I'll download the drivers as soon as I get back to home.

Hmm....better don't unlock bootloader for her because she's not like us, advance user.

I'll try to flash for her. Wish me good luck. smile.gif

Anyway do you have any idea why her phone success flashing but when then reboot part, it can't boot up and only black screen + keep vibrating only?
*
Let just say that the orders used to restore is very important to get things right, a misstep will ruin everything.
Another reason is that the locked bootloader is causing problem, unlocked BL will not have this problem.

Okay, Good luck, and don't worry about that i did that for over hundred times.

Think! If one needs to send the device back for warranty, do you think they still have chance to relock?
For example, nas, his h3c usb port is broken, do you think he can still relock it? Think again, and read more.

Okay, because you said that, I trust you,I'll try it this Sunday as now I'm outstation.

Oh and this method also can be used as unbrick method right? Because XDA guide wrote that haha.

And, why you say once unlock bootloader, the phone sure can revive back? Is bootloader related to brick?
*
WHhaaAttt? Am I to be blamed if things doesn't work out like i said? cry.gif

Yea yea it can used to unbrick... yes yes bootloader has to do with the brick but it's more to incompatible issue.
And if you trust the XDA guide then you have trust me either because i wrote the guides, and if you don't,
you will have to wait until someone else who had solved this problem before to provide you the solution....

*
Haha, jk too la, i don't mind for complaints either. icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, back to topic, it's almost impossible to hard brick this device, no matter what you can always recover it.
I have to admit it was my fault that i forgot to take locked BL into my consideration when providing the solutions, my bad.
The earlier solution was suggested because during my tests i was able to restore even my BL is still locked.
Perhaps my understanding about this device is still poor.

After a week use kitkat beta, I've reverted back to B115.
The ROM is ok for daily use but 2 things that always bothered me :-
- sensor not sensitive. after end a call, sometime the screen still blank so unable to end call.
- call/sms blocker not working. still receive unwanted sms that has been blocked.

So today I dload B115 and use "dload folder" method.
Surprisingly above also re-lock the bootloader coz my previous TWRP has been replaced with stock recovery (no need to use flash_tool)

SummerWind , u may update ur guide with above
Restoring Official Stock ROM using SPFT (+Relocking The Bootloader)
- add another step that u can re-lock the bootloader with "dload folder" guide
*
Told ya already it's not recommended for daily use, strictly for testing purpose only.
You have wrong understanding about locked bootloader.
I have clearly stated the ONLY way to relock the bootloader is by flashing the signed images.

QUOTE(GameSky @ Aug 10 2014, 06:14 PM)
read that kk beta some users having problems on 3G..really? Seems flashing back stock rom also will reflash stock recovery.. not too sure on bootloader tho
also, for some reason, my friend's messed up his h3c..sent to warranty and huawei just take it exchange, not much question asked..guess he's lucky.. laugh.gif
*
Yes correct, flashing the ROM image will reload all system related files including boot image and recovery.
As for the signal problem, yes we are facing some difficulty to get IMEIs back working when returning to B108 or factory dumped stock.

Which mean updating to unofficial KK might be a one way trip as you might never be able to revert back to locked bootloader again, or more correctly, you can revert but will not get a fully functioning device as call related functions will be lost, but don't get confused, you will still be able to revert back to fully functioning official JB 4.2.2 B1XX ROM, just not the one with/from locked BL ROM.

Amin & i are still working on this issue and hopefully we can find a solution, but the chance are low.
It's hard to work on this as there is no official documentation available or any reference we can use.

To whom it may concern, i sincerely apologise for all the trouble i've caused, if you applied modem fix, your warranty is void.
