I'm not so worried about the damage being done during warranty period. I'm just worried about excessive wear and tear that will accumulate over the years, and when finally the warranty expires you realize there are all sorts of damage on the engine because of this.

Hopefully Honda knows what they are doing lah

Each roadshow are also set up by a single dealership, so it depends if the dealership has good offer to begin with.

My current car and previous car also no dipstick at the automatic transmission. Current car is a Ford, previous was a Saga FLX SE CVT.

So the City CVT doesn't come with dipstick doesn't really bother me actually

Then just send it in before you go. If over 1k or 2k km I think no problem, but better be safe than sorry lah.

Send in earlier definitely no issues, since only inspection.

I thought someone mentioned the EO that came with the new car is specially formulated to break in the engine for 10k km? So soon change it out?

1. Toyota has Hilux, which is one of the, if not the, bestselling pickup in this country. Honda has no pickup vehicle in it's lineup.

2. Toyota also has the Avanza, Unser and Innova which are all immensely popular MPVs under RM100k. All of Honda's MPV, excluding the short-lived Freed, is over RM150k (Stream and Odyssey). The Avanza and Innova has lost some sales to the Exora, but continues to be a popular choice of MPV today.

2. Since the dugong model the Vios covered a wide price bracket of RM72k to RM92k. This is a crucial, if somewhat brilliant strategy by UMW Toyota, because at that time the City only has 2 models starting from RM85k, missing the important RM70-80k bracket. Honda learnt from it's mistake and is trying to make it up with the current gen S and S+ trims.

In short, Honda failed due to poor product planning and marketing choices instead of inferior products and aftersales. However, considering it still outsell the Koreans and Nissan/Mazda, it is not doing too bad either.

Polishing makes the clearcoat thinner, not the paint layer.

Anyway, agreed if not necessary no need to polish.

as long as it is a polishing compound, it will remove a thin layer of clearcoat.
