The 0W-20 is fully synthetic meant for their hybrids... But then...
*
But but but....the new City is not hybrid unsure.gif

QUOTE(Matrix @ Aug 15 2014, 07:31 AM)
Yes....you choose between ow20, 30 or 40 i think. Even Accord (non V6) also can use ow-20, nowadays engine oil has made  a lot of progress, the Viscocity number alone does not determine the factor anymore. Honda is now pushing new 0w16 standard. smile.gif

We have an Inspira owner, using 0w20 and send the engine oil result to US lab for testing....hardcore betul...

Hi dares, if changing wrong engine oil for Honda City, at the end of the day more customer come and complaint in which eventually caused Honda reputation totally wipe off.  tongue.gif

I'm not so worried about the damage being done during warranty period. I'm just worried about excessive wear and tear that will accumulate over the years, and when finally the warranty expires you realize there are all sorts of damage on the engine because of this.

Hopefully Honda knows what they are doing lah

Like that, no need to go for road show already! Any others have better experience with roadshow?
*
Each roadshow are also set up by a single dealership, so it depends if the dealership has good offer to begin with.

My current car and previous car also no dipstick at the automatic transmission. Current car is a Ford, previous was a Saga FLX SE CVT.

So the City CVT doesn't come with dipstick doesn't really bother me actually hmm.gif

My home town got honda service center (HSC), but the ride is 500km so over 1k mileage already. Plan to go back this saturday, sunday HSC close, monday also close. If went back to KL then mileage sure >2k (Void warranty right?)
*
Then just send it in before you go. If over 1k or 2k km I think no problem, but better be safe than sorry lah.

Send in earlier definitely no issues, since only inspection.

I thought someone mentioned the EO that came with the new car is specially formulated to break in the engine for 10k km? So soon change it out?

But I dunno whether that's true anot lah blush.gif

Initially I was shock with the 3 months wait time from Honda dealer. But after I visited a few showroom in penang then only I know that it is true.. E and V spec have to wait for 3 months..

Only blue would have ready stocks in some of the showroom. But not my preferred choice.. sad.gif

Why.. Why.. Why..
*
3 months is pretty crazy....no other dealer in your area?

I suspect after sales service..
*
1. Toyota has Hilux, which is one of the, if not the, bestselling pickup in this country. Honda has no pickup vehicle in it's lineup.

2. Toyota also has the Avanza, Unser and Innova which are all immensely popular MPVs under RM100k. All of Honda's MPV, excluding the short-lived Freed, is over RM150k (Stream and Odyssey). The Avanza and Innova has lost some sales to the Exora, but continues to be a popular choice of MPV today.

2. Since the dugong model the Vios covered a wide price bracket of RM72k to RM92k. This is a crucial, if somewhat brilliant strategy by UMW Toyota, because at that time the City only has 2 models starting from RM85k, missing the important RM70-80k bracket. Honda learnt from it's mistake and is trying to make it up with the current gen S and S+ trims.

In short, Honda failed due to poor product planning and marketing choices instead of inferior products and aftersales. However, considering it still outsell the Koreans and Nissan/Mazda, it is not doing too bad either.

Polishing will make your paint thinner. If no scratch o anything, wax will do. Coating normally expensive, if rich, can spend.
*
Polishing makes the clearcoat thinner, not the paint layer.

Anyway, agreed if not necessary no need to polish.

as long as it is a polishing compound, it will remove a thin layer of clearcoat.
