QUOTE(Eiraku @ Dec 5 2014, 12:22 AM)
Depends. My primary mission is to just finish the whole of Japan in 10 days so I'll get a primer of where else to focus on next time. In that context it feels that I've gotten my money's worth.

I already did 14 days in the Tokyo area last time. Now I just wanted to see how far I can get in 10 days. It was actually *decent* travelling - all things considered. I got to see *a lot* more than I initially thought I would.

That said, I do feel I could have used some more time around Sapporo and Matsuyama. Which also holds true for everywhere else, but Sapporo and Matsuyama for me more than anywhere else. Also, I missed going to Hida-Takayama, but I was already on my last legs budget wise so what to do.

But for *real* travelling, yeah, 20 days would have been better for this. Though costs wise it might be more of a problem: it would need twice the budget, for one thing.

It's always a problem of covering more ground, or more depth. In this case I chose to cover more ground - at the sake of depth of course. While it's not optimal, as a time-limited *primer* trip to what Japan has got in store, it works quite well IMHO.

when i went to Seoul this year, temperature was below 5c during day time and below 3c at night... I was wearing sport shoes...feet cramp ler and was cold even with heat tech socks. most sport shoes does not have this shock absorption thingy and feet tend to be real sore when you walk for whole day and 10days straight! Thats why this time I invest in better walking boots for more comfort.
*
i bet u walk too long

do u know u can add insoles for extra cushioning?
pharmacy got sell... tongue.gif

Yes, i know those extra cushions....cannot one la. Leg sure still pain and cold. Cos the sports shoe i wore is not meant for walking...it's for running! haha...

Anyway, there are reasons why walking boots are invented rite...
*
depends lo...
last time, i use to walk 11hours... from morning 9am to midnite...
pure walk... after minus out the eating, mrt, photo time, game and toilet time kekeke

This Hotel quite easy to each.
When you doing Lake Ashinoko Cruising.  Make sure you reach Moto Hakone Port & Not the Hakone-Machi port.

This Hotel Musashiya just nearby the Port of Moto Hakone.
*
Moto Hakone Port... bmarked... thanx
and this hotel... will i able to see mount fuji? anything blocking?

easy to reach?? mean... it can be accessible via train/bus?
how about town center? it is near hyatt?

how u compare the lake cruising with Lake Toya, Hokkaido?
Lake Toya nothing special, except firework at night...
and i afraid i cant see Mount Fuji, due to cloudy sky... then i might as well skip da cruising

*
