QUOTE(foohoa @ Oct 4 2014, 10:14 AM) yes, we plan go nikko, that need use jr pass, which 8000 yen x 2 2person per car, might not worth of it...and need follow the train/bus schedule, so i try to rent a car for 12 hours, it only cost 8000 yen +- and yes, we need petrol and toll fee, but we can follow our schedule, no need worry the bus/train schedule japan is the nice place to visit, this is my third time! QUOTE(foohoa @ Oct 4 2014, 12:15 PM) i know there are so many way can go there fully support this... but if drive car, i can go even far, and stop by anywhere i like, no need worry the bus/train schedule and i planing go far a little bit like okunikkou, they recommend me this place the other advantage... u able to travel very late in the night and very early in the morning... fully taking advantage of car rental... QUOTE(foohoa @ Oct 4 2014, 02:59 PM) The REAL one mean u need to take the test with left and right side drive, once you get it bullshit... you can go overseas and driving anytime you want while this only just a permit you can use at some period of time only no need thos crap, now u just need a new version of license our international licenses is just a translation paper (fyi msian basic licenses cover alot of country) i know coz going to US do not need any international license and US is left hand drive no need INTERNATIONAL LICENSE/TEST to drive left hand car |

last year i delay 1week to hokkaido bcoz i wan to enjoy full autumn foliage
i would say, middle of oct is the perfect time last year during first week of oct in hokkaido... ashikawa/furano/sunkyo hv 90% - 100% red/yellow leaf sapporo or anything down south... 60% - 80% oni (depend on the mountain) --- Furano Blue Pond ~ MUST VISIT.... second best view for autumn foliage, a lot of local ppl go here near the pond got dam and river... the hill next to the river... is full of yellow color... best view http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6832.html note: not my pix ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(michlove @ Nov 10 2014, 10:38 AM) RegentCid, do you think it's better that I use credit card to pay my hotels when i'm in Japan rather than using cash in terms that the currency rate used by bank will be lower than money exchanger rates, right? QUOTE(Eiraku @ Nov 18 2014, 11:50 PM) I have a very *weird* question that hasn't been satisfactorily answered by Google... yet. i know in hong kong a lot of ppl is sending their disney + oceanpark + etc etc ticket to hotel before they arriveCan you actually buy things from Amazon JP, address it to the Narita Terminal 2 Post Office for delivery now, and pick it up next week when you arrive? Is this possible? I know you can do it with sim cards and MIFIs (GAC does this) but what about normal parcels? I *could* just send it to my hotel (in Fukouka) though I would arrive later in the evening. Maybe I should shoot them an email and see if they can hold my parcel for me, though it's one of those "business hotel" type places so I'I'm not sure. For reference, what I plan to buy is this: http://amzn.to/14F9yHn (The Tamrac/Kenko zipshot). Or if anybody saw it being sold cheaper over at any Bic or Yodobashi, that would be equally helpful. conclusion... just do it but make a safer bet, u need to call the hotel first and worst case scenario, ur packages is rejected... then u need to call the courier company to make second arrangement and if we r talking bout shipping company, some stuff being delay extensively, others do goes missing!!! |
