Hi there! Not sure if this had been asked before but is it ok to bring back eggs from Japan (either handcarry or checked-in luggage)? My wife love all things Japanese and has a unexplained passion in Japanese eggs (chicken eggs).
A Japanese friend recently visited us in KL and she brought us some chicken eggs (from a certain well known organic farm) and she said she had to "smuggle" the eggs as the local customs officer queried her about the eggs... As our Japanese friend can't speak Malay or good english, the customs officer just let her go...
So after my wife had these eggs, she just absolutely love them....and now wants more... So in our next trip to Japan, I plan to buy more eggs and bring back, but not sure what are the restrictions applicable both in Japan and Malaysia...
Any advice?
