Hi all, today's exchange rate for yen is RM30.90. Is it cheap to change money now?

That is a really good rate for Japan! It was RM32.20 for 1000 yen in April this year when I went.
*

Bringing 5k for 10 days only for makan and little bit shopping enuf mah? My transport, i'll be buying JR pass. Then hotel, 'look' card ^^

From my observation earlier this year I realize the rate is always better on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but I couldn't exchange the currency on those days as I have work commitments.

As for the budget, I am very much a backpacker so I survived with only 1.5K for 6 days but I had free accommodation (as my colleague was working there at that time) and 2-3 free meals. Of course with my limited budget (and time) I couldn't afford to go on the shinkansen so I only covered Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto.
*
You went alone? Cos I'm going with my hubby and the 5k is for both of us to makan laugh.gif
Here is my rough itinerary :

Day Destination
1 Haneda Airport - Hotel in Shinjuku, Tokyo,
2 Tsukiji Fish Market, Mt Fuji, Harajuku, Meiji Shrine, Shibuya
3 Sensoji Temple, Ginza, Tokyo Station, Akihabara,
4 Nagano to see snow monkeys, Shibu onsen, back to Tokyo
5 Go to Takayama and Shirakawa-go
6 Go to Kyoto
7 Kyoto
8 Arashiyama, Kyoto
9 Kobe, Arima Onsen, Osaka
10 Osaka, Flight back home

From my experience (solo traveler)

~bfast: 200-500 yen (cup noodles is around 150yen)
~lunch / dinner: 800 - 1,500 (consider decent cuz the set got nasi, meat/chicken/fishi, soup n vege) varies on type of restaurant u go

Normally i budget like RM100 per day which include makan (bfast/dinner/lunch), train, entrance fees, abit of shopping.
but it can differ if skip on makan, or get those one day train pass and etc.

n sorry addressing u as "bro" sweat.gif
*
Thanks! That helps me a lot in costing. actually we don't really wanna eat in restaurant all the time. Try the street food better hor. And no worries about the bro...I get it a lot her in lowyat...haha laugh.gif

Fukuoka just too near to S.Korea and Jeju Island.
When I was base at Fukuoka. I always go S.Korea in weekends.  Monday to Friday at Japan . Sat and Sunday At S.Korea.

This is what you cannot do at Tokyo.  and Tokyo is super super boring city.
Got.  U have to find it by homework.  I won't give direct answer
