Stay far away from HW products if you are interested in software updates. This is based on my experience using Mate 6.1, X1 n Mate7. Msian versions are often extremely slow to receive updates. Example Mate7 euro n China sets had already 4-5 updates while it is still zero for Msian sets
Consolation their firmware is pretty solid n stable
I had tested latest firmware from Euro on Mate7 n again I am unable to see any significant difference
Don't bother with what other user say about dpi..can never understand what they are complaining about. Is perfectly fine for me
Just flash latest euro version if software update is important but than as said I find it pointless to do so

I'm not into the flashing stuff. Just wanna use it as it is.
I'm use to iOS's smooth interface btw. Just that there's no JB these days so theres way too many limitations.

So, I guess this thread will be quiet for a while until Lollipop 5.1 comes for Huawei x1 sometimes in August and September.

Even though the kernel source for x1 is released, it is sad that no one is attempting to develop lollipop 5.1 custom roms ahead of Huawei's official Android 5.1 rom for this device.

Well, guess we can enjoy what we have at the moment and can meet up again in this thread sometime in August or September.

hi am planning to get one as an entertainment tablet,just a questions here,does the multitouch is as responsive as ipad?coz i have a lenovo tab2 but its not that responsive when it comes to multi touches especially when playing games ( clash of clans ) for example i use more than 1 finger to deploy troops..hope can have some answer here...btw its abit hard to find 2nd hand in GC

just bought mine at lowyat huawei official store with free sp and folio case and also an umbrella and a mug ,and the price is far more cheaper than satugadget.. and they help me update to 4.4.2 good service overall even there is alot of customers...

I bought an X2 case for my X1 since I can't find an X1 case in my local area. From what I've noticed, there are a few external revisions based on X1 design.

- volume keys and power key are interchanged in location
- charging port is moved to the right

Overall, the fit is the same, I just had to remove small portions of the case.

How do I use alternative launchers on the EMU? There seems to be a lack of options like Home selection on the Mediapad X1.

my phone is stuck at the mediapad logo And does not come up,I can only go to fast mod but i can not get into recovery,I also can not flash it in the usual way(volume up +volume down+power),In Fast mode when I want to flash boot or recovery and system ,It does not allow And writes (The commands not allowed),At this moment i have only fastboot available, what can i do to unbrick the device ?

I've just noticed something awry with my set. Google Contacts are not displayed on my Contacts from the Phone. Checked the Settings and the only options are Phone and Sim. How do I get this Phone to display Google Contacts?
