hi am planning to get one as an entertainment tablet,just a questions here,does the multitouch is as responsive as ipad?coz i have a lenovo tab2 but its not that responsive when it comes to multi touches especially when playing games ( clash of clans ) for example i use more than 1 finger to deploy troops..hope can have some answer here...btw its abit hard to find 2nd hand in GC

I have tried using 2 fingers on several androids...it may be that Android CoC does not support 2 finger swiping for troop placement but ios can.

Otherwise the X1 is fine as a media consumption device.

just bought mine at lowyat huawei official store with free sp and folio case and also an umbrella and a mug ,and the price is far more cheaper than satugadget.. and they help me update to 4.4.2 good service overall even there is alot of customers...

Only few users as it's not exactly a small phone. However for 7in still better than any Asus fonepad or Nexus 7.

I just got a second hand x1 from friend. What is the latest ROM? B017?

The general practice with Huawei is "don't expect updates" so far.

If they have it, it's a real bonus. Took them a whole year to release the kernel sources for the X1, by which time the X2 is already out, and developers have lost interest already.

There was a recent article about Huawei's approach, or rather the lack of an approach, to being open and honest. Perhaps it is due to the history of how they were founded.

I like Huawei for their progressiveness on the hardware front, but in my book, they are quite a bit behind even Samsung where updates are concerned.

I do hope they will consider the on screen button to include pull down notification bar. Mate 7 and Honor 6+ has it.

Most general user don't care about updates as long as the phone is stable and doesn't crash, runs all the apps perfectly. The saying is if something isn't broken don't fix it.

Thanks Djiban, but those would hide the navigation bar. What I meant was pulling down the top notification bar using a soft button located alongside the bottom navigation bar.
