QUOTE(un_id @ Jul 7 2014, 09:35 PM) dropped my X1 again in office today, from office table top smacked down on the floor.. feel so sad.. somehow this X1 is prone to slip in my handling.. i think i got no choice but to use a casing with this X1.. i just hate it because it will be too bulky then It depends on the user actually, some people can use phone for 1-2 years still in mint condition without any scratch or dent, for me I always use minimal ultra slim case, if don't have case I'll use a pouch.

QUOTE(azeemzuhair @ Jul 7 2014, 05:21 PM) Any good soul to confirm whether the ROW Stock ROM, after rooted, can install "AdAway" app? Oh yea, AdAway cannot be downloaded from Google Play. Need to download elsewhere... use javelin browser, can remove ads without root.

Been using the X1 for a few weeks since I got it. Overall its been a joy to use and can actually replace a phone if you don't mind the size. For a 7in it has much smaller bezels than Nexus 7, decent front and back camera and good battery life. I use a HTC One M8 for more practical things like making phone calls, social media and when I browse the net and watch multimedia programmes always go to the bigger X1. It also backs up as my travel phone with the simcard slot when I'm overseas.
Using 2 phones it allows me to go several days on 1 charge and it may turn out to be a better solution than a dual sim phone if you are a heavy user.
The only con I notice is it is not as smooth as the HTC M8 but hopefully with some ROM upgrades it can be improved. I'm using the European B103 ROM.

Only few users as it's not exactly a small phone. However for 7in still better than any Asus fonepad or Nexus 7.

QUOTE(joytest @ Jul 7 2015, 11:14 PM) The general practice with Huawei is "don't expect updates" so far. If they have it, it's a real bonus. Took them a whole year to release the kernel sources for the X1, by which time the X2 is already out, and developers have lost interest already. There was a recent article about Huawei's approach, or rather the lack of an approach, to being open and honest. Perhaps it is due to the history of how they were founded. I like Huawei for their progressiveness on the hardware front, but in my book, they are quite a bit behind even Samsung where updates are concerned. Most general user don't care about updates as long as the phone is stable and doesn't crash, runs all the apps perfectly. The saying is if something isn't broken don't fix it.

QUOTE(InfoO2 @ Jul 10 2015, 10:29 AM) Is a 16GB or 32GB? I am waiting for x2, is it worth to get x2? If you are buying a new one of course, X2 will be a better choice as the price is not much more and you get an upgraded faster smoother experience. I'm using X1 and no regrets whatsoever, only thing I find it is not so smooth compared to more powerful Snapdragon phones like Htc One M8, LG G3 and the newer phones. You can even use it as a ln all in one phone but I find it a bit silly holding a big chunk of slab when I answer calls, so I use it mostly as a travel phone and gaming/internet/movie device.
