i'm planning the same too. i guess open the box just make sure no scratch and dents, turn the opo on, check for the infamous yellow tint issue (if there is), and if everything working fine, just pay! hehe
remember 2 year warranty from directD covers only 1 month for LCD display while 24months cover only the software..........

honestly, I'm still not really sure if there's actually any hardware difference. but I do know that the Chinese version will have some network band issues if you're using in USA. can that be controlled by software, I honestly have no idea.

just to share... I was on the same boat as you, but in the end, decided to just buy locally. if you read some of the complaints in the official forum (including being charged a fee for warranty), personally, I think I'm better off getting locally. but... I guess so far I've been lucky and never had issues with my AP sets (other phones).

Haven't really made the final decision yet, and since I'm not urgent getting it, i might just wait until Sept to see if there's any new phone coming out that can top this or more towards my preference...

Feel like opo 3 buttons at the bottom there too close to screen.  Always kena the home button while pressing spacebar.  And apps get minimized.  Very annoying.. Do you guys have this problem too?
