start up for me is fast but the only annoying part of this eset nod new version is that everytime u wana access something for example

opening an mp3
opening a movie

then u will get an extremely comp lag, screen freeze and when u alt-ctrl-del to view the task manager, u will find that a programme by eset named ekrn.exe will be consuming almost 99% of the CPU load.

that is for me but if you google, you could find similar problems too faced by others.

this is my feedback

Look at the comparison given by NOD32 with other products which shows NOD32 is the best among others in various tests and comparisons..

NOD32 is weak in certain things. My friend's PC kena MSN virus whereby always sent out photo album to her friends in her lists.

She scanned with NOD32 but nothing found.

Then I told her to scan with avira and found infection and cleaned.

That may be true.... Unfortunately nothing beats education. Do not click receive even from friends without actually confirming your friend has send you something. Many people are too trusting...i have seen this in many companies.
Time to actually recommend boxes that monitors MSN & yahoo chats and banned sending/receiving files via these chat program. Second method is to use a local firewall and set policy to disallow it. If anyone knows how this can be done via windows please do post about it. Home users.... time to be smart

Dunno why I just try NOD32, my computer sudden gone freak slow...

Even I use other anti-virus software install, AVG and Anti-Vir, they won't lag me even a bit...

What actually NOD32 done...?The old version 2.7.xx even better than 3.xx version...

i rolled back to 2.7.39 version . Have to wait for a better and stable version for the new v3 .

the new version 3.0.621 is available for download now. maybe this is help you.

Been a NOD32 user since 06. My office paid for it . Currently using ver 3 but I see no problems so far or any lag even scanning thru the network. Works like a charm with ZoneAlarm. i downloaded from ESET website, but it's 3.0.566 although the website wrote 3.0.621

I'm new to Eset NOD32 Smart Security 3.0 621 it's the defense good? soo far it's didnt hog my resource play game smooth...
This antivirus it's recommended from my College lecturer... he say Kaspersky,Norton and Mcafee cant detect the virus... when he install this NOD32 can detect the trojan virus... So now i using the 30 days trial i just wanna know izzit the firewall and the antispyware good in this Smart Security...?

your download is the trial version? Trial is still on 3.0.566. I note the same error.

Most user in usa used this av, and i think most Malaysian also trusted this av because of their reputation. But to say its the best, depends. Some don't like fussy on this part, some don't care. Some want pop up messages, some don't prefer that way. Try and error, maybe?

hmm, is there a bug in ESET ESS? i have been using trial version for more than 30 days but the license keeps on renewing itself, now it is until february 14, 2008. it shud have expired on 18th january
