hi sifus, my frd is going to hk end of this month. from wat i read tis tread hk lego are pretty cheap rite? can i know is there any website that i can check the lego price at HK?

I recommend Lot 175 in Ins Point. This store variety is more and slightly cheaper at least for me. Search for Ins Point location in google maps. The whole building 2 floors is filled with lego and toys but mostly lego.

Sometimes you can be casually going about your day and you’re just hit with a genius idea. And you can’t believe no one’s ever thought of it before.

We imagine this is pretty much how the Lego Wall project came about.

Gilg, an employee at the German creative studio NPIRE, found an innovative solution to the company’s ‘crap from the kitchen encroaching on the hallway’ problem – he built a dividing wall with 55,000 Lego bricks.

He explains: ‘I had the only right and most obvious thought: “We need a Lego wall to be able to hide all the empty containers and the garbage behind them.”‘ Erm, not the most obvious thought Gilg, no.

The project took him a year, with a little help from his colleagues.

Staff brought in their old Lego from home and they also purchased 80 packs of new bricks.

It cost 2,500 Euros (£2000), weighs around 80 kilos, is almost three metres wide and is 2.8 metres tall at its highest point.

So, next time you need a dividing wall in your house – and have a lot of time on your hands – why not try building it out of Lego?

Just don’t let the kids at your building supplies.

Toys'r'us Germany is having a Star Wars weekend tomorrow. 20% off all Star Wars article.

E.g. 7965 only for EUR108.

Lego Store is only good for exclusive and hard to find items. Also if you collect VIP points.

Another tip is to look at toy stores or shopping malls in the region.

Non-exclusive products like what you want can be had for lower prices because stores are gearing up for the xmas toy season. I suggest you first look at LEGO official RRP, then go hunting. E.g. franchise malls, Galeria Kaufhof (I have loyalty card which gives 10% off everything) and Karstadt, or Toys'r'us or family toy stores. If not available then only go to Lego store.

There is nothing attractive at Lego stores this month except for double VIP points on Exo Suit.

Too bad you won't make it tomorrow. 20% off Star Wars articles from Toys'r'us is enticing. Furthermore, every EUR60 purchase entitles to a scratch card to win Disney trips and merchandise.

P.S. Some Toys'r'us do not accept credit cards.

Grabbed a "President Business's Evil Lair" and "Benny's spaceship, shipship, SPACESHIP". Lining and paying up took me 45 minutes. There was this loud auntie who cut in line and made all kinds of noise and this china beng buying off all the city and creator set... wonder if they are seller because all i hear from them is "eh, this set good... can make a lot of money... buy lah".

Online shopping is still the best! No need to rush all over town to Parkson, Tesco, TRU or Lego Shop for sales, I prefer to stay at home and ... Click! Click! Click! Then just wait for the Lego to be delivered to my doorstep. Cheaper. Stress-free. No crowds and no Q's. Saves time, petrol and avoids parking/saman hassles. tongue.gif

Spent all my willpower resisting buying anything. The longer I stayed there, the more powerless I felt I was becoming. Quickly cabut before I took out my wallet cause saw too many tempting deals.

Need to budget ...

OMG!

Anyone else excited about this theme?

Jurassic World - Leaked Dinosaur images

That Diabolus Rex looks badass. Probably the name/species is a variation of the word "Diablo"

QUOTE
The white one could be main antagonist of Jurassic World called Diabolus Rex, aka D-Rex, which is a Tyrannosaur that is mixed with the DNA of a T-Rex, a Velociraptor, a snake, and a cuttlefish which results in a more smarter and deadlier dinosaur.
Read an article that there was an old script that mentioned they mixed Human and Dino DNA!

Hah even the recent Lego Batman 3 game also teased a lego T-Rex, the colour scheme might apply to the prototype when it's done.

Thanks to BT Bricks for the breaking news in FB. Saw it there first.

Modular - Detective's Office

Was expecting a full building, thinking it can be used as a Police Station. If that "Pool" sign is real, then the detective's office only occupies the Ground Floor of the building making it smaller than I thought.

Guess I'm a little disappointed but may consider getting this ...

Wish List getting longer doh.gif
