Not really sure is this under the right section.

Anyway, I have this question. I have been offered a job as Management Trainee and there will be 6 months for probation.

I was shocked when I read bout employer and myself will not contribute to the epf & socso while im still under probation.

Is there any law that allow employer not to make contribution for those employee under probation? Is this legal?

I think the company can choose not to contribute since probation staff arent consider normal staff, they are almost like contract basis.

the company has the right to do that, they can omit ur EPF and socso, annual leave, commission while u r under probation. But some companies do offer these benefits although u r still in probation. So the answer is ------> depend on certain company loh...

what~~ shocking.gif omit all the things? I don't think they can do that? anyway I have all my anual leave, medical leave thingy, but just the epf n socso part..

N I think industrial training is far more different N I understand that during industrial training for sure we do not get any other benefits.

Yea, all my ex-employer did offer those benefits even i am still unfer probation..which is why I was shocked to hear that they do not contribute the epf & socso, n its for 6 months~

Yea I checked with other colleagues under probation as well, they just seemed like blur and even do not notice this..they assumed employer did contribute and another colleague just accept it with no doubts or questions...so..hm..

I have spoke to my boss regarding this but still he havent get back to me yet. What if boss said that they can choose not to contribute? I will just have to accept it then?

well, it depends on company. my company probation period is 3 months.

im so stupid demand salary so low, so they say they pay me what i demand for the next 3 months, and say possibly no epf contribution. but when salary time came they up my basic RM200 extra and also got contribution on epf. so nice biggrin.gif. also got sales comission 10%, kinda happy also.

now need to wait another 2 months for confirmation and they'll up my basic RM300 more wink.gif .

That's great wink.gif well I demand what I want but I didn't get it. Funny thing is this RM100 for each month during my probation, they will pay me back after confimation. means RM 600 pay to me right after confirm me...
