How long does the SC take on this job. Booked 14th of this month at Glanmrie for this. Mine fluctuates between 70 - 90.
Great day.. according to receipt, it stated 0.6 hour to add this sensor. Peugeot 408 Owners/ Fans Thread [V3], Motion & Emotion

I got an issue.
While my car moving at low speed (5-10kmj), not pressing the brake or accelerate pedal, the steering steer at certain angle (maybe left 45' degree). There is a “wu~" sound, quite a loud sound, not sure where it come from, maybe the gantung there or the engine bay. When i press brake or accelerate pedal, the sound gone. And the sound only sometimes appear, not always got. Any idea? |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Aug 11 2014, 10:33 AM) Bro,just to give a basic insight on your problem. I am also thinking likewise. What is your advise in dealing with the technicians in the SC? Well atleast they are still the technician. Who am I to say that these is not related to drive shaft?ECU is the heart and soul of engine operation. It is responsible for the entire engine operation from startup to final shut down. The engine will run, based on driver's command and feedback from various sensors at the engine and gearbox, which continually interact with ECU. Any failure of component or sensor can cause ECU to shut down the engine. It can prevent further engine start or permit start after cooldown. On these high technology engines, there are numerous senores. I am positive the drive shaft has nothing to do with your engine shut down! However, after the incident. The car jerks upon acceleration. Drive shaft damaged? |

Who am I to say that these is not related to drive shaft? I understand your situation. You have been patient and if their efforts has sorted the problem, well & good. However, after the incident. The car jerks upon acceleration. Drive shaft damaged? I don't think your drive shafts are damaged. The jerks may be due to the adaptive gearbox relearning your driving style, as they would have done an electronic reset. Most likely the reset would have cured the problem. I can tell from experience, French electronics is real gila-gila la! I hope the engine shut down problem is solved. Give it a few days and see how it goes. If you encounter any problems or jerks persist, you might want to consider another SC. |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Aug 14 2014, 12:55 PM) Completely disagree! Warranty and items under warranty are very explicit, they are not subject to negotiation by any authorized SC. That's what I thought so too - perhaps it depends on the installer especially an external one, that's why SC don't want to commit and yet there's no process for certification to determine if warranty is void or not |
