Tks for the heads up. Any idea if the HPFP is claimable after the 3rd year? If not I might as well start to source for the pump! Appreciate if you could post the part number.

Bro, HPFP warranty cover up to 3yrs only. You may outsource from here:

EUROMOTIVE AUTO PARTS
7, Jalan 8/146, Bandar Tasik Selatan 57000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Regarding the part number, Kuantan SC doesn't indicate in my service sheet. You may contact other SC and talk to sparepart incharge person. They shall help you.

Cheers.

Tqvm!

I was reading the extended warranty plan. It quotes, parts that lead to a mechanical or electrical defects are claimable. There are no details and have heard from ppl, not every part is covered. Surely the HPFP falls into the mechanical category! I might contest this with Nasa if I encounter the failure. Besides I have a second car I can use, should the Pug need to hibernate during the contest period.

We'll see...hahaha!

Hehehe.. you may try ur luck bro.

Initially, i plan to replace the HPFP after Raya due to my tight schedule. But i was informed by SC that my HPFP warranty up to 3 yrs only. Therefore i just proceed coz worried if warranty claim issue may arises later since our malaysia Peugeot now need an approval from france regarding any warranty claim.

No harm if replaced it earlier rather than prolonged to another "penyakit berjangkit" (misfiring & etc.) Hehehehe.
*
Very good idea to replace early, especially since you know the problem. Will spoil Raya mood if it starts to act up when the whole family is packed and ready to travel!

Will certainly help to know what exactly is covered on this extended warranty. I wonder if any one here has got the list!

Btw, managed to get Euromotive's phone no from facebook : 03 90570921

I read an article said that we should maintain at least a 1/4 tank to prolong the fuel pump. The article said that the modern HPFP requires fuel to lubricate and cool the pump. I think it is quite true because some of our friends here suffer HPFP issue after low fuel. Not sure how about other sifu here thinking.
*
You may be right. I always fill up when my fuel gauge comes to 1/4 mark. Mine is 1st batch, completed 3 years this month. No problem with the HPFP.

Tried tell my sis this. 5years already, till today she'll fillup only after warning light come on! Lucky she drives a Jap car.....Swift.

Whatever amount i suggest minimum is the car loan balance. Also request agreed amount clause. So that total loss they have to pay the sum assured even market price is lower.

By the way do it.ureself and get the 10% discount.
*
I considered covering my loan amount which is $90K. The problem with Inc. Co is when it comes to payout by them they will bring in market value and it is definitely not $90K for 2012 model.

Agreed sum would be the best I guess, if they will payout this amount!

My door stopper and air-con parts have arrived - 2 weeks wait, not bad. I inspected the door stopper and it is wrapped in plastic, made in France labeled. Waiting at SC now for the job to be done.

Happy to report on a job well done, kudos PBB Seremban!

Yesterday did the 60K major service. At the same time door stopper was changed and air-con problems fixed. Air-con was working but gives out a rattling noise. Internal bearing was changed.

All fixed and after change of some parts on the major service, the car feels and drives like when I got it on the 1st day.

Very pleased with my Lion's healthy roar!

Just to update on improvements -

1 Faster Warranty processing time.
2 Spare parts availability improvement.

Just FYI, we've been running successfully Mazda Service center at SgBesi, and replicating our passion & efficiency in Peugeot to assist current Peugeot customers on their problems.

Feel free to contact our Peugeot 4S for an appointment at 03-87419188

That is very good news. Public perception of Peugeot customer service atm is poor. I feel improvements are being made. I found more trained mechanics and faster delivery of parts on warranty claim.

My last service and warranty claim were very satisfactory! Keep up the good work guys. This will certainly make Peugeot a stronger brand in Malaysia! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I took 3 days. Now everything back to normal and lioning is roaring again.
*
This exactly it bro. Ppl need to know how good this car is, EP6CDTM/Aisin combo has proved it reliability. After 3 years and the required service can restore the car back to day one performance. It also means PBB has improved it's maintenance ability & customer service.

Keep up the good work PBB!

Hi guys. I'm posting on behalf of my Bro in law. Today his 408 car battery died. Since SC is closed and need to balik kampung, we went to outside shop to get it replaced.

SC sells Delkor 56077 right? Is there any problem with using Delkor 55530?

From the label, 56077 states 'Premium Silver Calcium battery' with AMP 60while 55530 states just 'Calcium battery' with AMP 55.

Most shops don't seem to carry 56077.
*
No problem bro. Although 5 amps less on paper, this battery should last as long as the original. How much was it?

It was RM340 before GST. My Forte comes with Delkor din 55 as well and it costed around rm3xx. So I guess that's an okay price.
*
Yeah that's ok. Although some have got it marginally cheaper. Next battery change, I recommend DIN 66. You can get one around $360 and it has 25 % more capacity. Which means it may last a year longer. It fits well into 408 battery box.

The SC told me that if I change the battery at outside, I still need to go back to SC to let them check & reset/program again the setting and it will be charged $120+... is this true/necessary?
*
That is true if the engine is stopped and battery changed. They need to reset factory default settings. A clever way around this is to change the battery with engine running.

As long as the car electronics are powered up the default setting remain in memory. With the engine running, alternator will provide the electrics, battery is non active. Removing the battery at this stage does not affect anything.

Ok bro. Changed to DIN66 won't void the warranty of the car right?
Btw, any recommended workshop in Klang valley for changing battery?  smile.gif
*
No problem with warranty and $200 cheaper than changing at SC! As suggested go for century, since they will come to your house anywhere in Klang valley.

sounds like it

anyway our 408 is still running the 2012 face, i wonder how much stock nasim actually brought in to "CKD"
*
I think so too. Old stock must hv dried up. I'm glad the price is back to what we paid. This will hv a correction effect on RS value.

Anyway as my car is running without a hitch & feels like new after the major service,hv decided to keep it another 2 years.
