Dodge has always been never able to dodge elite affixes. That's why alot ppl wished it to be buff.

Now it comes to this.. Blizzard might as well removes dodge mechanic from the game vmad.gif

I understand that... that's the issue with dodge, it doesn't protect you from elemental damage. The list given as example is actually understatement.

Dodge is useless v

1. Arcane beam.
2. Molten.
3. Ice ball ( when the ice circles form up right before it explodes). You can dodge the ice explosion.
4. Poison enchanted
5. Plague
6. Thunderstorn


But, by removing dodge totally and replacing it with armor, = whats the diff between monk , barb or crudauser?

I rather work based on dodge giving some immunity rather than totally remove it form the game.

But that's just my 2 cents lo

Looking at it, Blizz do want to do away the dodge.

I think it's ok because toughness is the ultimate aim.
Dodge or not is not really an issue.

This is not a bad nerf as compared to the nerf on CM wiz and fury generation for barb.

As long as Blizz fixes the toughness for monk, monk will be ok @ T6.

Even before the patch, I can see more monks play at T6 recently.

Dex has same attribute as Str is.... disturbing... sweat.gif

Dodge gain Resist would have been a better idea since monk has so many dodge related skill, it was useless then, dont know whats gonna happen to these skills:

- Dashing Strike - Blinding speed - increased 29% dodge
- Cyclone Strike - Wall of wind - increased 20% dodge
- Mantra of Evasion - all runes - LOL!
- Passive - The Guardian Path - 15% dodge
- Passive - 6th sense - your dodge change increased by 42.5% of crit change

bliz should remain dodge .. but just could buff the DEX to like convert 50% of dex to armour passively for all DH/monk...

Everyone will be OwE freed after 2.1 since it's no more. tongue.gif

I think the new Harmony will be just as mandatory as OwE for high torment.

Stacking All Resist is just too expensive since there are only 4 primary. Those are better used for Dex, Vit, life% and %skill damage / %elemental damage / socket.

it's persistent/area based DOTs that they don't work jack shit with.

because RNG to be tough is f***ing gay. (yes i've been hating it since WoW days on my rogue)

IINM arcane can be dodged.
could be very wrong.

also can't dodge molten, desecrator, orbitals... ice explosion can be dodged, the persistent aoe aura cannot. jailer DOT ticks (i just realized they DOT rofl) cant be dodge
