We can see Iriz improvement compare to both of P1 failed product.

For Iriz main competior (MiVi). The old Mivi and new Mivi still using the same platform after so many years. In this case, P1 improve and P2 still maintain with some improvement on the outlook.

I think for P1 or P2 lovers should be happy since Iriz create some real competition in this segment at this price range. Hope they will be pressing each other to come out with a better product at reasonable price in the future.

Personally, I don think Iriz will be failed as what Tiara or Savvy experience. I think if they able to catch 20-30% of MiVy market, that should be encouraging at this point.

Hope P2 sedan out soon to create some real competition to future Saga. thumbup.gif

-Hmm, could someone explain to me why Perodua Axia R&D cost was so high (RM300 million) even though it's just a rebadge of Daihatsu Ayla/Toyota Agya? If below RM100 million acceptable la (rebadging/rebranding only)... hmm.gif

Proton rebadge inspira pun around 250million. So rebadge is not entirely cheap. Licensing, localisation of parts, you need to prepare the vendor for it.

Well, for IRIZ, this probably the most expensive proton cars in term of R&D at 500mil. Probably due to new platform and new engine and less than 20% carry-over parts. Previously for Preve/suprima is around 300million, because some of it already absorb due to existing platform and high carry-over parts.

Still got geniuses comparing Tiara Savvy and Iriz.

Doesn't even know why Tiara and Savvy failed, but assume Iriz will suffer the same because "also hatchback".
