Mana tahu 3rd generation Daihatsu Boon, is the new Myvi. Perodua is actually toyota, not local cars. Might as well Toyota/Daihatsu developed the 3rd generation for Perodua instead of for JDM market.

Proton rebadge inspira pun around 250million. So rebadge is not entirely cheap. Licensing, localisation of parts, you need to prepare the vendor for it.

Well, for IRIZ, this probably the most expensive proton cars in term of R&D at 500mil. Probably due to new platform and new engine and less than 20% carry-over parts. Previously for Preve/suprima is around 300million, because some of it already absorb due to existing platform and high carry-over parts.

My neighborhood not so big, but already got 3 iriz. Axia only one. That CNY discount, and the merdeka/raya discount. If sell below that, cannot give high discount.
