no.. i dont used metal case.. compare to my zte v970 my zte 3g reception more better in low network place its also can connect to 3g.. but mi3 always dc.. i use newest dev rom.. if i used stable rom its more worst.. i hope dev can improve that in next release..

I have some question for xiaomi mi3 owner..

What actually the different between :
1) TD & WCDMA/CDMA

2) I'm currently on Version: JXDMYBD14.0 （V5）.. If I'd like to flash to Developer's Rom, which one is the best? TD or WCDMA/CDMA?)

3) If from JXDMYBD14.0 （V5） to Developer's Rom, I just only need to flash Version: 4.6.13 （V5） OR need to flash previous version first?

4) How to check weather my phone has successfully rooted? If I'm not mistaken, need to root my phone 1st before flashing to developer's rom right?

1. TD can only be use within china. thats why you see other country like Malaysia using WCDMA.
Hardware difference, TD= NVIDIA WCDMA= QUALCOMM
Always flash WCDMA ver rom, you will not want to visit the SC so fast
2.3.4 Just flash latest dev rom will do. no need root first. on stable rom if rooted successful you can tick the root permission under security app.

2) From Malaysian version to developer's rom, need to wipe data before or after falshing to developer's rom?

1. no problem
2. no, just go updater > select update package> choose your downloaded rom file> follow instruction to reboot and thats all

When inserting the mikey in, make sure it is inserted all the way in. And make sure to select mikey when it ask you whether it is headphone or mikey.

For me, I need to unplug and plug in a few times before the mikey works or there is no sound coming from the speakers...

Normally reboot due to overheat. Are you using Waze without aircond? Got direct sun on your phone?
