I was wrong about Xiaomi, I though 7000 is more then enough as the demand is low. It's not low at all.
*
Its all because of the price drop... no price drop, I dont think will sell like this.

Bought a Mi3 using my Mi3 on data. laugh.gif

My 20mbps Unifi cant even log in. -___-
*
Me too

I tried login from my pc at home and also on laptop tethering from my iPhone5 LTE, but cannot load at all.

Quick thinking loading Xiaomi site on my phone which is always logon, and managed to purchase using bluetooth keyboard.

Actually I find that there is an easy way to combine different items easily and fast.

I don't think so. Probably this is the last round. Next round, Mi3S RM889.

do you think I could sell my mi3 which I bought just now?  I am torn between huawei honor 3c and mi3 just because huawei can have 2 sim so that i could load my hotlink sim into it and have unlimited whatsapp.  Mi3 only 1 sim!

RM10 is still ok if you factor in postage cost from China.

Those who kept complain are those NATO.

Kept saying other people earn how much bla bla bla. They should offer their service for free before commenting.

I read somewhere that someone's slot got stuck inside without putting any sim card in.
*
That's because you didn't read properly.

What they point out were if you were to stuck a sim card adapter onto the tray without a Sim card, it will get stuck.

Read properly this time. Sim tray, Sim card, Sim card adapter. Understand the difference. Google if you cant comprehend what's the difference between all 3.

QUOTE(kennethkee93 @ Jun 17 2014, 11:22 PM)
Exaggerating that it can compete with RM500 IEM is kinda unreasonable. However it's up to user's experience.

What I want to share is that according to what I'd read from the review and discussion in audiophile section stating that the Xiaomi Piston has a slight V-shape sound, meaning it lacks in the mid frequency.

I got a Beyer XP3 with the same frequency shape although it's much more of a V-shape sound, and from my experience, it's great for movies and electronic music, those that emphasize on lows and highs but for rock, acoustics and others that focuses on mids sounds terrible. Even live musics or concerts records, the clapping sound by the audience sounds like raindrops instead.

It's up to preference depending on users's taste of music. I'm just stating what I know and experiences though, you should try to audition it yourself to see if you likes it.

This is what you call hype. At first, at the selling price, it was pretty good, no doubt. When you compare to a RM500 headphone/earphone, it was no brainer because the RM500 cant possibly sound 10 times better regardless, which explain the popularity. Then you get these people who start to jack up the pricing and claim it can rival RM500 stuffs. It cant possibly sound better or close, just not bad for what it is.

The same thing happened with Philips 880 last time. It was selling for USD99 and some given a good review for it in headfi. I think I was the first one to deal with the Philips manager directly for RM120 per unit. Soon the price start to jack up and become quite a hype too, rising up to RM200++ very quickly. I think Philips caught the wind as well. US peep start raving why it was $99 over there and only <$30 over here.

I agree. There's too many agents in the market now. Many of them are pretty irresponsible,
I only stick with one agent for years, because they were to most realiable after trying 3 and respond to me within 2-3 hours (not during mid night la). They also helped to recover my things when I made a complaint. Sadly, there's very lil good agents around.

Anyways.. mi3 thread, talk about mi3. No more taobao.
If anyone wants guidance, I'm happy to help but honestly it's quite difficult if one can't read chinese.
*
No need talk Taobao anymore...

Taobao provide international forwarding service for quite some time already. Just may cost a bit more for shipping.

Other then specs, the price is the key  notworthy.gif

If only Samsung or etc brand have the same price+spec brows.gif imo sure people might jump ship due to Samsung or etc brand have more and better after sales support (official and XDA Taikor one).
*
Quite impossible. The way these distribution channel works plus the advertising cost alone already add a big chunk of overhead for Samsung. Not to mention they had to stock phones, parts, and also run a service center is also adding to the cost. You know if you talk nicely with them, you can get it repaired on the spot. I don't think you can find anything close to the level of service Samsung provide. Yeah, their phone is getting more and more expensive but you are paying for more than just the phone itself.

First 2 time, the checkout was awful. Otherwise it would sold out in minutes too. Everyone kept F5 checkout. Some get multiple orders. I also got 2 instead of 1.

I called and they said if you want self collect. I can go to thr kota damansara warehouse on Monday if I want them to deliver then they will deliver it on Wednesday. Hope this helps everyone who are expecting thr shipment from Fedex and that by now it's already in Sepang. Cheers.
*
I self collect in Kota Damansara twice already.

The shipment is already there but they havent scan in their system yet. What I can advise you is make a trip to KD FEDEX around 12-2PM. Should be able to collect. If havent ready, just go for lunch and then return. Enjoy a great weekend.

mi3 = high end
redmi note - mid range

snapdragon > meditek = most cost is on the cpu  brows.gif
1080p > 720p = 2nd cost will be on screen  brows.gif
wifi ac > wifi n
Adreno 330 > Mali-450MP4

cannot see the different from the spec, they look like similiar spec, just 1 or 2 spec is not same, but that the 1 or 2 spec is the main points to different the high & mid range phone...

if you think no need so high end phone, just go to mid range phone... brows.gif

antutu benchmark
mi3 - 36K
redmi note - 28k
note3 = 27k
*
Where did you dig the WiFi AC? Pretty sure dont have WiFi AC.

wifi AC is use both 2.5ghz & 5.0ghz...

i see mi3 spec, the wifi support 5ghz...

so the wifi is ac...

2,5ghz is support long range, while 5ghz provide high bandwidth(1ghz and above)

I strongly recommend GOOGLE.

5GHz already exist for N.
