Dude it means whatever sim you have, Xiaomi has a solution for you without needing a adapter.

Dude Xiaomi does have a nano sim tray for the mi3 just that it's not included with the package

Nowadays standard sim = mini sim

In few years time who knows standard sim might be micro or nano sim
