Wish I could help you but Maths T is my worst subject... Can't even remember a single thing from Chapter 1. If you ever need help in any other subjects barring PA I'll be happy to help though.

Speaking of PA, I have a penchant for treating the PA essay like the SPM BM essay. It is blatantly wrong and I have yet to get rid of that habit from myself.

So, do you have any problems in elaboration part(huraian) of the essay? icon_question.gif

Yeah, two years of writing flowery but contentless SPM BM essay made me suck at writing PA essay. But my biggest problem is that I can't even get the "isi utama" right! If isi wrong then whole paragraph get zero marks. For some reason my teacher accept some isi while rejecting some other isi even though it's reasonably logical. When I ask her on how to know which ones are acceptable and which ones are not, she just give some vague explanations like "this isi not good enough". What the hell man. At this rate, I'll be lucky to get a B for PA.

scgoh123, sagethesausage, BlueMuffin, and other lower 6-ers,

Do take note that for those of you who registered for the MUET exams in the month of November 2014, the date for the Speaking test has been brought forward to the third week of October. Rest assured that for the other components in MUET test like Writing, the date for those examinations remain the same. And I guess that most of you should be knowing this by now.

So, how's your life for this week?

Specifically for this week, we have to hand in our Chemistry assignment tomorrow in which we already conducted the experiment not too long ago. Had some discussions with teacher along with our smaller groups yesterday regarding that assignment. We also have to conduct a Physics experiment tomorrow under the supervision of my school Form 6's senior assistant. And to add salt to the wound, tomorrow is also the exact date in which I have to let my Math teacher to have a check and review my Maths T assignments, as the dateline for it is this Friday.

Life surely doesn't get any 'better' than this....

You can refer to this sample of coursework. You might learn a thing or two on how to construct your points for your introduction, methodology and conclusion. Also, for each of these components, there are different marks allocated for them.

Should your teacher be blamed for failing to teach you about methodology?

The simplest methodology to work out the assignment is to apply Polya's 4-Step Problem Solving Process (click it).

1. Understand the problem
2. Devise a plan
3. Carry out the plan
4. Look back

Here is the mnemonic to help you to remember: U Don't Create Loser.

For advanced students, you can write the methodology about Modeling with a Differential Equation. The method is similar to determine the "half-life" of any radioactive atoms that follows an exponential decay in nuclear physics. Here is the preview of the Differential Equation methodology:

My school doesn't let us take MUET exam in first term, otherwise next year nobody will be listening during muet classes next year. Which is not that bad considering that we can focus more on other subjects. Not too worried about muet either since almost every senior in my school got band 4 easily (which is usually the minimum requirement for most uni).

I'm not even sure what I wrote for methodology was correct, but I'm passing up my draft tomorrow and I'll give you an update after my teacher corrects it.

First I stated the problem, then I wrote: there are many method to solve the question. One of them is by using geometric progression blah blah blah...

How many pages long exactly are your Introduction, Methodology and Conclusion?

You may choose to end the assignment meaningfully with a historical event that serves as a reminder to all medical practitioners.

Only 1 page each, since it's just a draft.

I think these days we have plenty of pharmacists to advise doctors on the selection, dosages, interactions, and side effects of medications. So no need study Calculus to be a doctor! (I wish.)

To produce an extraordinary report (e.g. technical assignment), you have to be very knowledgeable, sort of Jack of all trades. icon_idea.gif

Hey, sorry for the late reply, was making finishing touches on my maths T coursework. I have to pass up today(20th), and I don't think my teacher will have a review on it. So yeah, that means I don't get to correct any mistakes done shakehead.gif
Well, at any rate I wish you the best for your Physics experiment icon_rolleyes.gif
This week for me was so-so, didn't really study much as I went to hone my badminton skills(I stink at it) for the competition today. Speaking of which, is your school done with the sports events for the form 6-ers?

Yup, last Tuesday was the final day for the sports competition that held on school level. And for today, a few of my classmates went to USM to participate in the Robotics Competition.
