Oh my god the CK box in d 1st post is kinda cool... >.<

@ evilguy

Tuesday's Star newspaper InTech reviewed that k800i can only last for 2 days on normal use and 1 day on hardcore usage... OMG... If this is really the case then glad to say that D900's battery life is much more better! Cheers!

@ starbox

Almost all people say that k800's camera is way better than Samsung's. But i don't see much difference... Probably cause i'm not a hardcore camera user. Maybe it's the Cybershot logo that brain-washed people. But i gotta say that SE has more camera functions, though samsung lets us tweak things such as ISO that i think SE doesn't have. Correct me if i'm wrong. The bad side of d900 is that we have to hold the phone very still for a few seconds (around 2-3) in order to focus and capture the pictures, otherwise it will be blur. This is not good for spontaneous shots i'd say.

hmm im getting it after raya too...havent seen the real phone yet...dont think i'll wait for the 3g ultra model bcoz IMO will be more expensive...n dont think i'll use 3g often..n abt the batt life...if scared then buy another batt lor...so no need to wait for it to charge everyday... tongue.gif  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

of course you can buy spare battery. but you still have to charge it. it is troublesome to keep open your casing and switch battery to charge. i heard that the battery cover is so hard to open.

QUOTE(starbox @ Oct 20 2006, 10:04 PM)
this model is one of my shortlisted phone also
how's the camera compared with K800 3.2mp?
and any bad feedbacks that said this phone doesnt worth the price?
havent use samsung phone b4 but i really like this design
cool and suitable for gurls even guys.

btw, how is the price now?

the camera can be said 2nd compare to k800i. low light condition, this phone canot take good picture couse it dont have flash like k800i. The price is about rm1470 - rm1599

really k800i battery is that bad? hard to believe. someone from k800i forum surely will deny this statment biggrin.gif i think all the pros and cons is subjective. some say this and some say that. i really cant rely 100% on them we must try it ourself. but to try we have to buy it tongue.gif

is the ISO tweak is realy good for d900? i also not a pro photographer. but i like to take picture. what ISO setting should we choose to take good picture? how about the night mode setting fo d900? got lot of noise or not?

Ya the batt cover takes forever to open, as much force is needed and we don't wanna break this phone apart. Opening regularly is not recommended. For total darkness, the camera flash can only take bright pictures from a range of less than 50cm. ISO is just settings to tweak about. I usually set it to auto. As for night mode noise, i didn't really looked into it. Try looking at comparison review pics online.

The phone uses MicroSD (T-flash)

BTW, I tried the display unit this tuesday, and I've to give a thumb up on the sliding mechanism. Really feel good using the slider and the display of the phone is very clear and nice

evilguy,

What a tough decision you've made. Well, I'm still had enough time to decide. Maybe sometime in December after the rumoured 3G version is released.

you know what... after all i want to buy d900. however the reason that make me change my mind last minute becouse my friends told me a story about his friend using samsung phone. he said his friend bought samsung phone and it always rosak after a year. that person buy 3 samsung phone in the last 3 year and all of them rosak. not totally malfunction. but some minor rosak like speaker become slow, lag and other minor2 stuff.

seem like it hard to believe. i also dont know how i believe such a rumor. maybe due to satisfaction in SE phone i used before. that is why it is so hard for me to jump to samsung phone. but as i said, i really love d900 even though i dont have it smile.gif

@jimbet1337

choose wisely. hope you satified wit your decission later on. gud luck.

AFAIK samsung ONLY uses MicroSD. =/

@ samurai1337

Samsung makes great sliding mechanism and crisp screens.

@ evilguy

Ur fren's prob seems 2 b firmware related 2 me. However i witnessed hardware probs. From experience, it's QUITE true. However, i don't know whether is it i'm just plain lucky, but flagship phones tend to last longer. The most fragile part is the flexi-cable inside. My flip e700's (flagship) screen gave problems abt after 2 yrs. Mom's slide e800's speaker starts 2 b troublesome after abt 1 yr caused by d cable. Bro's e760's keypad starts 2 hav probs nearly after 1 yr. Thankfully my d500 (flagship) was perfectly fine after more den 1 yr except for a more loosened sliding mechanism.

What is so special about the cK edition other than the box (which you don't carry it with the phone usually), the pouch and also the pre-set wallpapers (which you can find it easily)? It's like doing free advertisement for cK only

well af 1st i also thick k800i is thick and bulky. but after i hold it on my hand... i love it smile.gif it not so thick and heavy actually. my previous (and still using it) 3310 is much heavier. lol. it it the legend phone after all. icon_rolleyes.gif

we not intend to scare you. just tell base on story. but LiNKInPaRk108 story is base on his experience. maybe it is true after all. but... all phone may not last forever. smile.gif

i dont see and different between those CK and normal version. i think it just as the davinci version of w810i. the phone is almost similar plus additional accesories.
