I have to agree with that, many people tend to compare only the megapixels and AF/non-AF but miss out a lot of other goodies about the camera-phone that can make a big difference when it comes to image quality.

Anyways, the phone does look cool. I've no interest in getting a samsung phone though

Err...I appreciate their hardwork and innovation, but Samsung phone probably is not my cup of tea.

I'm sure there are plenty of people love samsung phones smile.gif

Any idea about the price of this baby?
I heard it's around RM1.8k right?

Anyways, have read a few reviews and most of them said the battery life is mediocre and the ringtone is too soft. So __kit how do you find the battery life?

In term of look it definitely pwns K800, but inferior camera and impractical battery life are something worth pondering mellow.gif

think so...

inferior cam? dun think so. even mobile-review states that it can compare to k800i and n73, though may lose a lil. A LIL i mean.

but its video recording quality definitely pwns k800i. u must watch the vids recorded using it! so stunning~~~

and it has the LIVING WORLD theme. very very innovative and nice. (lazy to describe here. wait for some1 else to describe it for u, or jus read the MR review for this stunning fon)

I too have seen the review, although day time shots are comparable to K800, night shots are awful...Video recording doesn't really matter much to me

I need more LYN users to describe their experience, sometimes can't trust 100% on review. The price and design are attractive, but more importantly is it's practical to use and fit my needs thumbup.gif (especially the battery life, i know samsung don't have good reputation on it, but i need to know how many days it can last for normal usage - as in taking a few shots per day, SMS and calling time for 30 minutes)

Of course there's no obligation in sharing your experience with the community, but it's somehow a bit funny to say "oh this phone rocks! very very good! you won't regret! but im just too lazy to describe, go check it out yourself" sweat.gif well just my 2 cents, hope you don't get offended

So hopefully somebody more hardworking can help me? icon_idea.gif

Battery life can be soft-modded? How? Sounds a bit unbelievable to me

So how do you think about the overall quality of ultra-series?

Many sellers in LYN sell it for slightly below 1500

Even you get it from normal shop I think it won't go far from that. The functions are not really complete so I think the price is quite reasonable.

You are a real clamshell fan aint you? tongue.gif What about the upcoming N75? brows.gif

I've seen a few samples in mobile review, while I've to agree about the fps is good, i think the video looks a bit...weird to me, it made me so dizzy

Nokia N series' quality seems to be better IMO

This phone is not that hot is it? Coz only few people using it. I'm still observing feedbacks from you guys coz i'm planning to buy one.

It was one of the phones that I wanted to buy, but ended going for SE K800i

It has good size and slider form factor, build quality is great too. But functional wise it's worse than its Nokia and SE counterparts (N73 and K800i, respectively)

erm...for n73 is a symbian phone so function sure lose d...but for k800 except for the 3G,wht else is lack of??

for me the disappointment is the 3g lor...maxis having promotion...i wanna try video call.. whistling.gif  whistling.gif

hmm, quite a lot to name actually.
- 3G (as you said)
- Camera (Major difference is here I can say - although both are 3MP, k800i is admittedly better with bestpic and xenonflash just to name a few)
- Battery life. If you only enable GSM but not 3G, it can easily last 3-5 days under normal usage. I've been using my phone for whole day (one call, around 10 SMSes, took a few pics and navigated around) and it hasn't drop a single bar yet (91%)
- Radio
- Support USB 2.0 instead of 1.1
- Has speaker phone mode

of course I'm not saying that K800i pwns D900 badly just because I own one. There are something that K800i lack of, but available in D900
- Document viewer (PDF, words etc)
- TV output
- Slider form factor, lighter ,and thinner!

The phone uses MicroSD (T-flash)

BTW, I tried the display unit this tuesday, and I've to give a thumb up on the sliding mechanism. Really feel good using the slider and the display of the phone is very clear and nice

What is so special about the cK edition other than the box (which you don't carry it with the phone usually), the pouch and also the pre-set wallpapers (which you can find it easily)? It's like doing free advertisement for cK only

IMO, Samsung ultra slim series is nonetheless a success (many manufacturers like SE and Nokia are either unable or not intended to come out with any slim series), but you've to do more research on the durability as well as battery life.

As far as I know, the slimmest model is not D830 but X820

I'm contemplating between this D900, W850i and W900i
All phones at almost the same budget...
Any suggestions?

Can get this phone for 1.1k from LYP?
How long can the battery last?
*
QUOTE(sayming @ Dec 24 2006, 12:46 PM)
Yea not to forget N73
I was a previous owner of K800i but gave it to my sis who works in Doha.
So now I'm using this Dopod S300 which I don't really like. sad.gif
*
Your sis works in Doha?!?!?! OMG...any job to introduce there drool.gif

BTW, I think D900 is a nice phone, but battery life not as good as SE phones
