The biggest issue of rom is the aerial projectiles. Telegraph the sound effects to dodge roll three times or swing camera upward to dodge it at the right time. Wooden shield able to withstand one of the three projectiles.
He is weakest against fire, flame sprayer with good arcane stats can easily get his hp down by half during first phase with oil urn plus bone marrow ash. With really strong arcane stat you can even kill him there and then.
Summon NPC to tank little spiders while you kill every last one of them so you are not interrupted by those pesky buggers when facing rom. If you decide to do hit and run...use fire paper with beast blood pellet. Take R2/L1 attacks into your combo to boost beasthood meter.
Otherwise scour chalice dungeon for better weapon gems to maximize damage output. In-game gems can only get you to a certain threshold but the really good stuff is in the dungeon. Then again the bosses there are more prickly than those found in the game.

Man, I realize I just missed the lecture hall. I read some people said you must have the Tonsil Stone. But then, I didn't remember seeing any NPC that give me tonsil stone.

Yea, manage to kill one of those bos in Chalice and swear to never enter the dungeon again. Ahahaa.

BTW, I though Rom is only effective using Bolt? Nvm, will try again tonight using fire. And that old hunter NPC is useless though, can only survive first attack. And his magic attack is really low.

I think still can, since you already beat puppy amelia which is the requirement, just go to any npc window and you will be given the stone by "someone".

Try to farm outside the wards. I get plenty of madman's knowledge over there.

Point of using augur is make the enemy down so ur not open for being attack....using agur and charge r2 axe will make sure the enemy continue to stay down.

Guys, The Lecture Hall, does this place for PVP? I enter the last room and suddenly on screen it said like I summon a co-op. I though the player going to help me, end up kill me. Feel so noob.

I think Tonsil stone is in a chest in the Lecture hall. As for ROM, I killed him by killing all his spider. His spider is ez to kill. Just 2 hit from the back will kill them. After killing the spider, ROM is totally ez kill.. Use the NPC to tank. Dodge ROM projectile when can..

Haha, sounds like you got invaded. The lecture hall and Mensis (spelling?) area are popular pvp spots last i heard.

But I did not use that PVP bell bro, just enter this room that look like hell, and suddenly PVP

There are just dicks who co-op to troll host or gank spanker setting up camp. Use silencing blank to summon the co-operator away or kill the bell maiden to stop invaders interfering your game or play the game off-line. You will get frequent interruption from invaders when you are around level 100 to 150 because the PvP community limit their build to those level to maximize the chance of finding an online match.

You can get tonsil stone from npc at forbidden forest where the dogs in cages are or the same spot where you find Arianna at Cathedral Ward alleyway right after killing Amelia or killed the one reborn where you can access lecture hall 2nd floor to climb down to first floor.

Goodness me...both Rakuyo and Moonlight are IMBA as hell...and I haven't event equipped them with PHY 23% blood gems yet!

And that is my question guys: I don't have PS+ subs, so can I just randomly create foetid or cursed dungeons and farm these stones myself? As opposed to using other ppl's glyph codes?

newbie question, which stat is a MUST, currently i focus only Vit, Str, and Endu, a bit on Skill.. now level 89..

Boils down to what weapon you are using or gonna try out. Study their class scaling. Throw in arcane or bloodtinge to take full use of the new dlc weapon. If you don't care PvP just level up to your heart's content. When you start doing NG+ it's a lot easier to get to level 200++.
