wrong way of refilling though, fill it from the bottom or side. if you fill from top, it will leak.
*
Just the nature of the beast. Vacuum tanks like the Kepan and Taifun NEEDS to be bottom filled for the vacuum effect to happen with minimal fuss. Otherwise, it will take a few long ritual mumbo jumbos for them NOT to leak - the Kepan especially.

And I don't really think you NEED a syringe for the Kepan. Most people I know just cucuk their juice bottle tips into the refill hole and press. It helps I you have a fine point tip but it's not strictly necessary.

Still waiting for my baby Nemi from notsofastech (registered airmail, of course, now 3 weeks in and counting). If this one goes well might be getting more boatloads of stuff from them later.

So much stuff to buy, FT is dangerous I tell you.

Your call. I'm vaping my unbleached straight, malas nak boil. So far so good.

And yes, anybody still importing liquid straight from the US nowadays? Kastam kacau x? Long time ago I know Mt. Baker and Plume Room used to be able to ship to Malaysia no problem.

IMO, i dont really like Hana due to its non adjustable 510 connector and it not very durable.. so certain atty could not be use n may not sit flush.
*
There's a lot of Hanatipu out there with adjustable connectors and all sorts of other mods really (wapari buttons, etc etc). There's even Hanatipu Minis with a Pana 18650 battery inside out there - and some with actual evolv chips too.

If that doesn't tickle your fancy, there's a few local modders building their own custom DNA30 mods from scratch in Hammond boxes (and even mint boxes) as well. Unfortunately they're all over Facebook so you'll have to scope the local vape FB groups to find them.

And then there's the ubiquitous Sarai from Jemit.

As for the vapor shark, I'm not really fond of lipo batteries crammed like that in a mod, but it does look smexy. Not sure if there's any local sellers though, even local scalpers.

Ah sudah. Nanokit dah hairline cracking. Darned local PinaColada... Dahle rasa macam obat *champak jus*

Anybody know where to find cheap replacement nano tanks? PMMA/Acrylic if possible. If can't find locally I have to prolly go shopping notsoFastech again ler.

BTW Mister-E Myster-E (ooookay...) tastes a bit like my old fave Mt. Baker Hawk Sauce and is available locally at 12mg for peanuts (compared to other "international" juices).

Mmmmmm masam sodap.

I'm on Chi You + Kayfun 3.1. Right now rocking on 28AWG kanthal + 5 wraps. Still can't get the flavor. I give up, wanna give wick a try. Already PM you the place. Wakaka. brows.gif

I'm thinking to get a second mod, is 4Nine + Atty a good combination for dripper?
*
You might wanna try to lessen the airflow. Yes, more airflow = more clouds, but it doesn't usually correlate to more flavour unfortunately. For instance, usually for the Taifun, more airflow (ie. bigger or no air hole tube) means more clouds and LESS flavour.

There's also the question of the juices itself - some are just better suited for gennies, or vacuum tanks (like the KF/TF), or dippers, or cartos.

Tasty Vapor juice for instance, just hates microcoils and cotton on a KF/TF simply because the sweeter gunks so godforsakenly fast. Now testing MrE to see if it fairs better - and so far (plus my previous experience with Pure Michigan on my old Vmod) it seems that it's doing far better.

Personally I think you need one tank and one dripper - but for new people, I recommend starting with a tank: the Kepan/taipun if you rajin, and the aspire nautilus if you malas.

BTW, the tiny 4nine might look nice, but beware that It ONLY takes the smaller 18350 with no ability to take anything bigger. Out of the box, anyway. Seems the ori one comes with ext tubes so it should be okay.

A small mod usually means you limit your battery life (the 18350s don't really last that long, I usually need 3 changes a day vaping on 1 ohm) and you limit your ability to experiment (subohming and multi-coiling on a 350 is not really reccomended - plus you can't play with the Kick to get VV/VW on your mech).

In my honest (newb) opinion, get something that can fit 18350/18450/18650 like the Chi Yu, King, Nemesis, Cartel, Vanilla or whatever mod that either telescopes or comes with extension tubes (the 4nine is okay too if it comes with the tubes). This will give you the best mileage out of your first purchase.

Not that you won't soon succumb and will start collecting multiple metal tubes like we all do in the end lol.

EDIT: Okay the original 4nine comes with extension tubes, so I stand corrected. Just makes sure yours come with with them too if you really decide to buy one.

Hav corrected the above to reflect this as well. Sorry for the misinfo.

QUOTE(blinky @ Aug 11 2014, 08:08 PM)
Hi guys, I asked a week ago about what DNA30 mod I should get, and I've already made a decision!

To sidetrack a little, I'm done buying mods for a long, long time (unless I intend to wage a war with my other half). What I have now is:

eGo-style battery + Kanger Protank Mini II (backup unit)
Provari 2.5 + Kayfun Lite+ v2 (daily use)
Innokin iTaste MVP2 + Aspire Nautilus (travel use)

And as for DNA30, I just ordered a VaporShark rDNA30. Have yet to decide on a rebuildable atty for it yet (any suggestions, guys?). Currently looking at the Fogger v4 and the Expromizer. Need something that can make full use of the rDNA30 yet simple and not too complicated to build. Budget is no more than RM400.

A warning for newbies. The vaping game is a bloody rabbit hole. I started just 2 months ago, and I've already spent over RM3k on only mods and tanks, not even including the shite tonnes of juices I have with me now.

Beware. A very rewarding hobby, but it damages your wallet like mad!
*
2 months... 3k... shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif

I've been going on 2 years and I *think* I haven't gone beyond half that yet, and still I think I've spent quite a lot. But if it's been keeping you off the stinkers than it was well worth it anyhow.

For a good tank, try out the Taifun next. It's easy peasy to build with and even easier to fill up. Or, if you don't mind the huge size, the Aga-T5 which a lot have taken to call the next big thing (quite literally too). The TF is far under 100 if you don't mind an imitation (500 ori), and the T5 is 150-ish original.

There's also the Ruzgar at 350-ish original if you wanna go up the ladder.

So, where did you get the VaporShark from in the end? Don't forget to post a quick review yah.

Hahah I know right, the amount of money I spent sends my other half into rage modes  blink.gif

To be honest, I'm not looking into clones. Each to his own, and I've absolutely no problem with people buying and using clones, but I personally would like to give back to the vendors who have played such a big part in this brilliant community. So I'm actually looking for authentic RBAs, and the Taifun GT I think is out of my budget. How much is the Aga-T5? I haven't studied much into that model in particular. However, I'm looking for a small-ish RBA because the VaporShark mods are famous because they are small in size as compared to other DNA30 mods, so I'm not sure if a big atty would be good for it? And, how much is the Ruzgar? These are the names I've not heard of hahaha.

I'm picking my rDNA30 from The Vape Lab in London, which I'll be visiting in under 4 weeks. For sure I'll post a review!
*
The T5 and Ruzgar prices are up there in my original post, both ori (prolly 2nd hand though for the Ruzgar). There's also the Enigkronigen (or something) but that goes for around RM600 so it's far into exotic territory already.

BTW, why just vac tanks? There's Gennies too you know, and a Doc's Mini B is plenty tiny for RM400. And you can always do a cotton wick setup in gennies - though they will leak by design if tipped upside down.

The Foggie does have the advantage of coming with pyrex as standard though - that's my biggest beef with the Taipun even today. Unfortunately, it's bottom fill ONLY and has this reputation of easy self-dissembly (aka coming apart on its own).

So my call, the Exp or the T5, and I'm leaning more to the T5 however much bigger it is. Or save up for a 2nd hand ori Taipun and get a nanokit. That will be plenty tiny for the VShark.

What is the best drip tip that can increase the flavor? How much it costs?
*
No drip tip ACTUALLY does this. It's just an illusion created by chamber reducing the airflow into a small jet, increasing the *apparent* flavour. Unfortunately, it also decreases airflow aka vapour. Also it won't really help much when your atty setup is crap for flavour to begin with.

You can get cheaper chamber reducing tips for around RM20, while the pricier ones usually go for 50 or even 100+ - which is for me a rather ridiculous price to pay for tips... unless it's a chamber reducing tip handcrafted from kayu cengal with complex engravings.

But as always, to each their own. Vaping is *VERY* subjective after all.

I personally vape on cheapo ceramic tips (heat resistant like pyrex, cheap like plastic) that costs RM5 each, though I have tested the cheaper RM20ish plastic + metal chamber reduce tips and they're not bad really.

Driptip Mohd Raihan kalau nak yg full metal but berpatutan, RM50-60. Available at Madness in Machine Seri Kembangan, Wings Vapour Kg. Baru, Vape69 Cheras or Garing Vaping Kota Damansara. If not, the cheapo plastic Taifun driptip on most nanokits already do this, maybe try to find some of those?

I wonder if anyone would do a ceramic chamber reducing tip... cheaply?

Eden sampai harini cannot go at all with buttery custardy flavours. Muak like no tomorrow. Creamy maybe (maybe Strawberry and Cream), but even that in moderation.

Sharp, fruity and sour is the best bet for me. Now alternating between MrE Myster-E and Green Elephant, both great sour juices (Myster-E is sharp sour with massive TH while GE is more mellow and apple-y).

Once this stock is done might wanna try a little bit of Dwap's P!nk next... the pear and hazelnut combo intrigues me. And maybe even going back to the Apple + Oren wonder that is Pure Michigan (also by MrE).

Enough TastyVapor for now. So much gunk so quickly on my microcoils it's not even funny.

The one buttery flavor I could call an exception to this no butter rule would be Mt. Baker's Cinnamon Roll - which by some magic of chemistry actually tastes like you're EATING Cinnabons. It WILL make short work of plastic tanks though.

And I thought that buttery flavours contain Diactyl or some other dangerous crap? Or does this not extend to butterscotch?

I too can't accept butterscotch type of juice. Yes. Muak.

But I'm getting bored with fruit based juice.
*
Tobacco based like PipeSauce? Or mocktails like Pawns Mixiology. Or maybe the Myster-E or P!nk type mishmash where you don't even know what fruit (or thing) you're vaping anymore.

BTW, the Cik Ayumi is prolly the most dependable mech mod I know of: Built like a tank and tahan like one too. Mine is more than than a year old edi and is still "good enough", even after countless bumps and dings. Has never given me any problems what so ever - except having to change the firing pins after a year (too much patina, too malas to polish).
