From the day of Activation, it takes 2-4 weeks for the HDD to be couriered to your doorstep.

Thanks.

Hi, I need to change the Wifi ssid and password for my router, but I cant access 192.168.1.1 with admin/admin .
Can someone please guide me to get the correct credential?

Edit: Modem E1200 btw
*
Hi Bro,

The default Username & Password for the E1200 Router is admin, admin.
But sometimes Installer set it differently to avoid mistamper...
Try admin, time123.

If you have your Time account username & password, you can do a hard reset on the E1200, then reconfigure your Connection configuration again.

Buzz me if you require further assistance.

Thanks.

Am planning to subscribe for TIME broadband and looking at this forum, it's apparent that service disruption occurs.

Anyone willing to share how often this disruption occurs? Especially in the Klang Valley area.
*
Hi Bro,

Though sometimes service disruption does occur, but overall service performance, stability, speed, downtime recovery time etc, all outperforms its competitor.

Cheers smile.gif

Hey guys,

Now that TIME is available in my condo, I would check with you guys on the installation part of things. I'm trying to avoid opening up holes in the plaster ceiling and cables running here and there.

So I was thinking of putting the ONU in the store room, which is closest to the main entrance, and then use homeplug (see below link) to connect to the power socket in the store room.

Then at the TV area, I will have another homeplug, and connect to the wireless router using a network cable from the homeplug. Do you think this will work well?

Hi Bro,

This is a quite common solution too, but we need to actually do a site visit & testing, then only we can come out with an ideal solutions.

Thanks.

Thanks - in terms of the wireless router between then 100mbps and the usual one, does the X3500 have a better wifi coverage?
*
If you are comparing X3500 to the E1200, then definitely X3500 outperforms E1200.

Thanks.

Yeah, that's true... that's why I'm still debating between the 100mbps or the 20mbps package. I THINK 100 gb may suffice, I'm not THAT big a downloader. But that's why I'm opting free month trial, to see if it's enough, lol.

Still = super speed, temptation to download more stuff grows. I suppose there's some way to monitor your gb usage?

Based on your link, Unifi is still more expensive than Time though. The difference I suppose is the added HyppTV, but it's a moot point for me since I barely use it (I haven't turned it on for months, lol).

By the way, I was told by a sales guy that if you subscribe to the 100 mbps package, you cannot switch over to the unlimited 10/20/30/50 mbps, or vice versa, due to them having different systems. Is that true?
*
Hi Bro,

You may login to the Selfcare Portal (located at http://selfcare.time.net.my) to check your Quota. If you are not a big downloader, 100GB quota maybe suffice.
After Quota is met, speed will be throttled down to 10Mbps...still not bad.

1 Month Free Trial is good enough for you to try it out.

You may downgrade to 10/20/30/50Mbps, the contract will be reset and there is 1 month of current package penalty.

Thanks.

I'm also facing the even after the boost, my speed test still showing the 7mb++ speed on both speedtest.net and time website. Using both wireless (5GHz) and wired, both also the same result. I have even restart the modem, I really hope to know if time dot net still fulfilling their promise on the 50mb boost, or it has become a joke.....
*
Hi Bro,

This could be the Free Boost feature bug that sometimes happen...
Symptoms :
1) Eventhough you have boost the speed, it's still stuck at the speed before boost.
2) Boost Hour does not reduce...

Pls kindly report to CS at 1800 18 1818 or customerservice@time.com.my

Thanks.

I really feel bad on this, I still saw the boosting count down still going on, nothing I can do on it, this is bad.... If TIME is aware of this problem at yet to do something to fix the problem, it show they didn't do their best to fulfill their promise.
*
Hi Bro,

This problem does happen sometimes but not that oftenly. Please check out your PM for more details.

Thanks.

Hi bros!
Finally installed 100mb, if I am using LAN cable directly to the Time's router, I can get download and upload speed of around 90mb/sec.
However, if I use my iPhone 6 connect to the router, the max I am get is around 40mb.
Is this normal? Anything I need to configure?
The router I am using is ZTE ZXHn H298N
Thanks
*
Hi Bro,

This is quite normal when you are using single band router such as this...

Thanks.

Look like im not alone. Resolved by changing to other public DNS. Now can surf freely
*
Hi Bro,

Advisable all change to Google DNS, if you know the config, do it in your router.

Temp avoiding OpenDNS....if you are on TM service.

Thanks.

Thanks for the replies.
Last time didnt notice the problem when using 5mb line.
I have extra router which is TP-Link TL-WR1043ND, can it achieve at leat 80mb/90mb through wireless? Dont want to waste my time to setup if it can't.
Any router to recommend so that I can research and read more?
Thanks!

Regards
*
Hi Bro,

You wont notice that when you are on low bandwidth...1043ND wont bring you up to 80/90Mbps either, no need waste time...

Please check my PM for more details.

Thanks.

Bro, I think I will just stay in the apartment, just move to another unit. I can't bear "downgrading" my internet connection. Hahaha. Anyway, if I moved to another unit in the same building, coverage shouldn't be a problem right? icon_idea.gif
*
Hi Bro,

There should not be an issue of coverage. Like Yeap said...outdoor relocation is RM120.

In-house cabling will still follow the 15m cable installation rule.

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Please continue to monitor your connection performance, and continue to feedback, together we work things out better !

If your neighbours are using too, try to ask whether they are facing the same issue.
PM or text me if you guys need any further technical advise.
