1. what is this "boost" thing and how it works? 30hrs applies to..?
Time Fibre has a Free Boost feature which means you are given 30 Hours/month to Boost up to 50Mbps.
You may login to http://selfcare.time.net.my to perform this Boost.

2. currently with unifi, do i have to pay installation again if i switch to time?
If you take up the Easy Switch Promo, you must go for 2 Years Contract, & there is NO Installation Fee to be paid. Anyway the in-house extra cabling (cable more than 15m) you are still required to pay.
If you are not going for Easy Switch, you can opt for 1 Year contract which means you gotta pay RM249 for Installation Fee.

3. am i entitled to any rebates/incentive if i switch to time?
If you go for Easy Switch Promo (bind to T&Cs), yes you are entitled for RM500 Rebate to contra with the Penalty imposed by Unifi/Maxis Fiber.

4. does time only provide service to highrise buildings? what about residential landed houses? (subang jaya, ss12)
Generally, at this moment only multi dwellings unit such as Apt/Condo are covered.

Fyi, we have tested with our daily Installation team & also my Network special team, E1200 is just a very basic Router cater for normal 700-1200sq ft house (depending on house structure design too).

So far, Intermittent Disconnection problem is spotted. Sometimes freezing problem is found too.
Upgrading the firmware to v2.0.06 does not really resolve it.

Feel free to PM me your budget & I'll recommend you a good Router.

It's not recommended to get your own modem (better known as ONU) as it will not be supported by Time if there's any issue.
For either Time FTTH / IPTV subscription, you'll be provided with
1) Huawei HG8240 ONU
2) Linksys E1200 300Mbps Wireless-N Router
3) Cordless Dect Phone (For IPTV you must subscribe Voice)

Port configuration has been preassigned & Zero Configuration from your end is required.

Please do a Tracert & post the Results either here or PM. It may not be the DNS problem.

There are 2 Ways to change your DNS,
i) Via Router Configurations
You can access the Router by default 192.168.1.1 (Assuming it's not changed).
Feel Free PM me if you need the standard login credentials for Time Routers.

ii) Via Network Adapters.

You mean the Huawei ONU or the Cisco Router given ?

Cisco Router you can utilize any port from the 4 LAN ports.

Huawei ONU LAN 1 is connected to the Router WAN port, you cant use the rest of the ports to get Internet.
