What do u guys think about ice crusader..

Currently I have 3 extra arkhan eq (pant, armor, shoulder) so I think why not I play another unconventional crusader build

So im thinking to do ice bless hammer build.
The equip will be

6 set bonus arkhan (5 eq + rorg)
Frostburn (cold dmg have chance to freeze mob)
Cold soj
Azurewrath (chance to freeze mob)

Other skill to buff the dmg
Firestarter champ
LoV : critical
Provoke : charge up
Concecration : ice field thingy to add more freeze effect
Phalanx or anything

Passive :
Holy cause
Finery
Fervor
Blunt

What u guys think? I think this is very fun build to see mob freeze and slow.

kinda weird i think, it's like wizard trying to do holy dmg~

However, who knows!? may be it's the most IMBA one? Give it a try and share with us!

Any idea what amulet or bracer that could compliment ice?

Tested ice bless hammer.

Below my stat.
Sheet dmg 1m
Cold dmg 80 %
Crit dmg 430++
BS bonus dmg 12%

Dmg per hammer to normal mob 9-11m
Dmg to elite around 12-15m

Eventhough benefit from frostburn + azurewrath still unable to perma frost..


Conclusion : experiment fail

not much point anyway perma frost if can't clear fast. better just focus on max dps output with wide aoe and sustainable and fast spam rate, it's possible now for crusader, and the 2.0.5 patch toughness update for crusaders has also helped us stay alive better as well.

hm... on side note, i think it was rime 1hand weapon that could kill creatures that are frozen if not mistaken. Wonder how effective that would be.

So the theory would be, in a 2man group or more, your role would be to freeze mobs, and hope that rime would kill them, assuming that they get frozen and the proc on rime both are consistent, which would outperform or match the current firestarter and shotgun clearance speed.

The rimeheart only shatter white mob I believe. It wont insta kill elite or rg.

By the way. In 2.1 patch.. there will be hellfire amulet (craftable) where the legendary affix will be free passive skill which enable us to have 5 passive at 1 time.

This will be very interesting ..

yeah thats why i said 2 or more. because the idea is, clearing the trash would be your role, while the elite packs and rg will be up to others.

But from what i heard it would be a RANDOM passive..... wonder what they mean exactly by that.

Would it be like the legendary potions, where there will be passive effects not already in the skill table ? Or does it mean random passive from the existing skill table ?

Right now i use

- finery
-indestructible
- heavenly strength
- holy cause


So for a fifth based on the existing skill table, i'd probably want to fit in any of these options
- long arm of the law (extend my law active to 10 instead of 5. Useful for group play buff. I'm using the increase CHD by 100%)
- vigilant (increases life regen, and reduces non physical damage by 20% Seeing as my all resistance is low, i would benefit from this.)

Hello all, new crusader reporting in and I need some guidance from all the senior here

Ok like this, I just completed my Akkhan set 6 pcs and manage to make it into perma AC and my question will be:-

Darklight Build (as per video provided at first page by abang moogle) i saw the FotH damage are around 10M - 12M (without Harrington proc) and that is a agreed by many is a T6 viable build.

Hence my question is comparing dps wise, the build I'm currently running Blessed Shield my dps per hit were around 10M and I can hit way much faster and it's a range build and it hits up to 6 mobs too (with Jekangboard shield of course)

And seeing the FotH user need to stick close to the mobs to benefit from the FREE FotH proc by Darklight, in return we are taking alot more dmg hence higher risk in dying too.

So I wonder how come as abang moogle said Blessed Shield build is only recommended on T5 and below, is there anything I'm doing wrong as I dont see a higher dps in using Foth, or anyone can share some info in how much are you doing per hit in using your FotH build

Don't get me wrong and I'm not questioning Moogle here, just wanna clarify my doubt and would like to know in what way Darklight build shine as a T6 viable build.

TLDR: DarkLight (full akkhan set) VS Blessed Shield (Mix n match legendary gear)

The difference is you can stack the AoE DoT fire damage 5 times on top of the cast dmg

I've only played my Crusader for about 1 month and I have far exceeded my Monk who was my main during D3 Vanilla.

Never knew that I have to pump CDR to make my crud imba. All this time I only pump the usual trinity stats and currently playing Lightning Crusader, which I can farm comfortably in T2, single or multi.

Just crafted Born's Shoulder and Chest to get the CDR bonus last night since I still don't have full Akkhan yet. So far only had Shoulder and Leg. Helm was a trade from a friend, for a Darklight dropped on me. Kadala is pissing me off, still can't get chest and boots even after thousands of shards spent

Damage increased to 1.9kk with Laws of Valor - Critical and AC.

so jelly watching 1 streamer got 2 FoTf in 1 single rift.. he just salvage it bcos he is using better one... still waiting one to drop for me..

Moogle is right, my experience with crusaders is limited, I've only played my crusader for about a week, but from my experience, I started with blessed shield setup, and at t4, my damage and kill speed felt somewhat slow. Once I got my 6 Akkhan pieces and a Darklight, I could go straight into t6 and steam roll it.

I've only played my Crusader for about a week and it has already exceeded my Barb who was my main from vanilla d3 till about a week ago lol.

i started my CRU 1 week ago, i have full set Akkhan & FOFT was drop 2 days back... stats are GG. My Profile
