In MiUI recovery, does "wipe user data and cache" wipe my entire phone clear or retain my apps and settings? Im used to only wipe cache and dalvik cache using CWM last time. Need clarification for this.

well,i dont like wechat/facebook/whatapps always ''on'' in background to receiving msg,i like to open them when i need them,so those annoying apps dont keep disturbing me,and also save battery

greenify hibernate them with one click,hence save battery and ram,this keep my ram for other activity(greenify keep my free ram about 1105mb with all apps installed)

i always use greenify+system apps cleaning on all my android device

no need to compress to zip file ya. The file u downloaded is already in zip format, u just need to rename it to "update" and place in root of the phone. then use updater go to Recovery, then click install update.zip in system 1

also pls do wipe only user data and cache b4 flash the rom

I'm using mac to download the file, download complete it shows as a folder.
rename it to update.zip should not be the issue.
use updater go to recovery meaning to say i need to boot to recovery mode?

if u refer to root file, yes. u need to reboot into recovery

Its wise to Backup ur Data before u flash new Rom, cause u never know what will happen next..    

Anyway, MI3 has unique system partition where system 1 and system 2. In case got any problem in system, u still can reboot in system 2 and redo again.

Sometime i faced that issue.. But i dont think it is faulty, it happen when the reception shown 1-2 bar and when network changing from 3G to Edge.

its a backup rom but it wont have same user data, after u reboot in system u need to setup again.. in case something wrong in system 1
