I'm from Nexus background. But I liked the look and spec of Mi3 which is very comparable (with better camera sensor n battery capacity) than the Nexus 5. So, cyanogenmod or any other rom that looked like stock Android is very important to me.

Miui is special too, but I've already had some experience playing with it sometime last year on a Sony phone.

So I guess paranoid Android, slimkat n the likes are not available for mi3?

Same here, been using AOSP based roms for the last few years, wondering if I can adapt to MIUI.

Still waiting my mi3 to arrive

Gotten the phone yesterday. Some quick initial impressions

1. Can get bit warm after using a while
2. Vibration bit weak
3. Speak is alright, loud enough
4. UI is fluid and responsive
5. Screen is yellowish even after setting the to 'cool' colour temperature

Still exploring the phone, in short this is a great budget phone.

Do you guys experience slight delay on certain tasks? Like there's a 0.5 second delay after pressing Menu key

be real, every phone behave diff, every event take a micro second for process.. i wonder how to time the 0.5s delay....

i'm just asking if anyone else experience the same or is it just me, as i was using a more inferior phone in term of hardware but don really encounter such.

this is quite obvious especially for the menu key, estimate 0.5sec laugh.gif

Ohhh okay bah liddat.

Then I don't think I got any negative feedback on this phone..people say 16gb isn't enough, I don't take pics much and I got an Ipad to enjoy games.

Software-wise also is so good it doesn't feel like bloatwares.

..will stay stock for awhile until root is more friendlier. Can't wait to have full control over miself~~~

Root it and you can do some simple customization with WSM tools/Xposed

How is the battery life of this XiaoMi Mi3? I heard reviews said it's very bad.

So, can I know how long can it last? Like hours of on-screen time with 3G and also off-screen time with 3G. Or maybe some other combinations.

Have used Mi3 for like 3 days, can get around 4-5hrs of SOT from full charge (30% 3g 70% Wifi)

those are easy, try something like ALO international, Pan Am, Hugo, and stuff like that, you will find it not working without UAPP

Intended to use UD100 only if heading out, have to compromise abit for portability blush.gif
