Guys,

Just a question here, basically i am a basic user

- I see my RAM used 38% after a clean reboot. Free ram about 1290M
- If i start using apps it will reduce my free ram to 600M ++

Even after i cleanup using the normal cleaner, it will not free up to 1290M unless i reboot.

Any one can explain to me the memory management ? I do not use advanced task killer as i understand that some apps stay in the background so that it can recalled quickly but the RAM seems to be reducing.

I don't see much lag but just a curious question.

I had problem on my contact. I'm currently using Note 2 and want to transfer all the contact to Mi3.

But I not sure why I can't sync all the newly added contact to google. So try some tricks from online, cleared the cache. Able to sync, but all the newly added contact gone.

Btw, on Note 2, when we add contact we need to select where to add to; google account, SIM or device. On Mi3, when it default add to?

On top of where you add new contract click on drop down list option to choose to which account or go setting set your default location

I have average 270MB RAM available, am I have still happy with it.
No lag in phone performance, if fact Mi3 performs much better than S2.

i concur : Free RAM is Wasted RAM.

Yes definitely much much better than s2
Only draw back no 3g video call but I never using it

If your Mi3 is rooted, use Greenify to hibernate background app.

Free RAM is wasted, but you don't want to drain your battery with those useless apps right?

low free ram means many background apps. that will consume battery
high free ram is better for the battery. your app startup will be faster too

i dont think high free ram will make the app startup faster. Those app which is idle and residing on the RAM, will be start up faster, since it has been loaded to the system.

I had same issue last time when I try to revert back to Stable Rom from Dev ROM. The reason i found out that we are downgrade from 4.4.2 to 4.3.

Solution : -
Flash CWM Recovery, Wipe Cache and User Data Only (Not SD CARD) then Flash Stable ROM in System 1 and then reboot in System 1.. PROFIT

Just browse through dl section available for multi language rom already

if u using stock recovery the root will be install in system 1. since u already updated to v14 and in system 2, thats why u have return back to previous system 1 which is v13

workaround. download full rom, update using recovery. it will install new version in system 1. repeat root process

Because in WCDMA Malaysia/SG/HK/etc, I can't find any Dev ROM.

TD is for the Nvidia Tegra Mi3, right? So, that's a NO.

this is dev rom. 4.5.30 mean 30th may which is the date of rom released (every friday).
