is hard to said EF better a2a, many depend on sensor also pilot. EF too high pricey for RMAF.
other than that, Dassault already negotiation with Russian TRV to integrated Russian weapon and missile to Rafale, so means RMAF can used back weapon/missile from MIG29 and Su-30MKM.

Twin engine more safety, if one engine got problem, still have one engine to come back to base, to costly to lost one unit, 2 seater also provide more mission and multi-role, back pilot mostly control weapon and radar/sensor from pod (ground attack), newest event can contol Combat UAV and also sometime act as command for single seat jet on mission. pilot help each other if something happen, for our geographic, is more suitable twin engine, need flight over sabah and sarawak via south China Sea.

Yes, this version is F/A-18 Advance Super hornet, or F/A-18 E/F Block3, us already offer to RMAF,
but issue not in Jet spec, is more on how much US control on the jet, is jet can lock-on/attack Asean country us made F-15/F16 ? how many Air-to-Air missile and high tech bomb will sell to as and can we RMAF keep the own stock ?

went usaf re-sell they jet, usually they will commit some use lifespan of structure of body. our total yearly flight time not same as US pilot. affcouse RMAF will see worth or not.

just search Fearless-class replacement,

there design look very good, suitable for RMN as patrol boat as well， specially with 2 RIBs. a bit like small version Gowind 1400.
