compare to Ah-6i, i more prefer to Airbus Helicopter AS550-C3 Fennec (military version with amour) Single engine, our pilot more experience on Fennec and more multi-function, support facility also no issue, Thai also bought 8 unit with usd 6.5 million each in 2011, 2014 maybe around 8 million +-.

Kunak kidnap: Filipino gunmen kidnap fish breeder, worker in Sabah east coast

LAHAD DATU: A 32-year-old fish breeder and a Filipino worker were abducted by two gunmen in Kunak, about 60km away from this town in the east coast of Sabah early Monday.

The two victims, who have yet to be identified, were taken from their fish farm at Kampung Sapang at about 12.45am by the two men armed with rifles.

The gunmen, believe to be Filipinos, fled across the border to southern Philippines in a speed boat.

The Philippines authorities have been alerted while Malaysian security forces are continuing to comb the area.

LAHAD DATU: One of the two people kidnapped by Filipino gunmen from a fish farm near Kunak in the east coast of Sabah early Monday has escaped.

It is understood that a worker identified only as Maslan jumped off the speedboat of the gunmen while the whereabouts of fish breeder Chan Sai Chiun from Perak still unknown.

Maslan is believed to made his escape as the boat was speeding off and swam ashore to lodge a police report.

The gunmen had snatched Chan and Maslan at about 12.45am from the fish farm at Kampung Sapang in Kunak about 60km from here.

Armed with rifles, two masked men sneaked under the cover of darkness into the workers quarters of the fish farms and grabbed the two who were sleeping in their rooms, according to sources.

They said that Chan and Maslan were shoved into a 40HP speedboat where two more accomplices were apparently waiting in another boat.

Maslan escaped as the boat was speeding off.

yes, but for LPD, Weapon and sensor usually no much, basically just 1 76mm gun, CIWS plus air surveillance radar.... cost not that much, so can add later, without those LPD still can function as LPD as long have navigation radar.

I think more and more china weapon will be buy ..
