hmm if touch i feel like lack responsiveness .. my finger problem maybe haha
i use to swipe it the surface is matte and not glossy so its not sticky
responsiveness not bad.. dont compare with phone touch screen la haha

comparison with 30 cm ruler/ tupperware tumbler and gastby hair spray .__.

thanks for the comparison, at least it gave me an idea instead of manually measuring based on their sites given width/height

i always feel that certain things must remain physical, and monitor OSD is one of them. god bless them if the capacitive touch screen of their monitor dies D:

frankly, even on my "slow" 8ms U2312HM, i dont see any noticeable issue when gaming or video playback

preference may differ ofc, since your opinion =/= my opinion

DELL s2715h vs AOC i2769vm
which one better ya?

finding a suitable 27" for 60% movie 40% gaming
*
dell S series are glossy monitors, unless you can stand it, i wouldnt recommend

colour reproduction wise, AOC have the upper hand with AH-IPS compared to E-IPS for Dell's

how about the calibration thingy? we need to calibrate it for 1st time use?
*
not necessary unless you require the color accuracy

you can manually calibrate it yourself as well, just tweak around at the OSD until satisfied

plan to buy dell monitor, but compare to seller from lowyat, lelong with dell online, which one is better? how about warranty?
*
no difference, all warranty side still goes back to Dell

its just the matter of whether you want
1. buy from LYN/lelong/shop seller, monitor need RMA, send back to them, they send to Dell
2. buy from Dell Malaysia, send back direct to them

dell not onsite warranty?
*
depends

you can send it back to them to check, or you call their customer service to send people to your place to check

both side if monitor kaput, you still need to pass it to them anyway

For those who can't decide to go 16:10 or 16:9 here's a comparison for you. (credit to Hardforum)

Dell U2415 on the left (16:10) and Dell S2415H on the right (16:9)
*
that 120 pixel really makes a difference

wish i could see 25" 2560x1440 vs 23" 1920x1080p though

QUOTE(lechoo18 @ Jan 15 2015, 10:03 AM)

Anyone know dell take how many days to delivery?
*

Is the U2414h still the de facto 24" IPS monitor to go for? Having read the issues with it a few posts back, I'm kind of wary. Any other alternatives you guys can recommend? I'm also fine with something in 16:10. Cheers rclxms.gif
*
its still one of the best

the one posted by reddit is where the issue is when theyre daisy chaining DP to several monitors

if you use separate connectors, there is no issue at all

new monitor setup and ready to roll! smile.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

forgive the shitty cable management, the power cord apparently isnt fitting, abit of shaking, and my monitor goes off doh.gif

EDIT: anyone knows how to fix a loose power cord issue? cant seem to move the cable around without accidentally turn off my monitor. and every single movement gives electrical sounds sweat.gif
