I''m looking for a 27" 2K to replace my old 24"1080P screen, my usage percentage is roughly 50% work (vector graphic related), 35% media consumption and 15% gaming (Xbox series S). Is LG Ultra Gear 27GP850 a good choice or any other model bro here can suggest? Budgets is around RM1.5K.

Thanks for the suggestion, one advantage this MSI has over LG is it has a type-c port. Do you own this monitor and any comment on it?
Will check on the performance on youtube.

No, I don't have this monitor but it's one of my shortlisted model. I like the stand but I watched one of the youtube video saying there is no power off button.

particularly interested in 27M2V and 32M2V, mini led with 1152-zone FALD

rtings even got review out liow: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/innocn/27m2v
pretty much a good monitor overall with strong true HDR capabilities

you're right. same design on this one: https://shopee.com.my/TITAN-ARMY-32%E2%80%9...680.20079495017
same 8-bit + FRC, same zone count (1152), same inputs, same HDR certification. innocn is titan army.

iirc innocn is also ODM for PRISM+ which is getting some presence here

I prefer with bezel which it look more like a monitor. As for U series , i use before office , it's the best for long lasting , but I don't know how is the QC for current Dell monitor.I know Dell monitor mostly for LG last time but what about now ?
but rtings.com website rated U series poor than other brand monitor. What do you think ?
U2723QE for rm3k , not worth it actually , even U2421E cost 1.7k rclxub.gif
Those are mainly pre calibrate and most important is Port usb C for Mac user.If without USB-C price will be much cheaper.

Do you know any website that list all the dell model like a wikipedia list model ? I can't find any model on Dell and other brand .

inb4, let me reply u in the right thread laugh.gif

current dell should be fine. I owned 3 ultrasharps so far, U2414h (2015, sold), U2515h (2016, still using), U3219Q (2022, still using).
no issues with any of them so far. my U2515h runs 24/7 at max brightness static screen for one whole year during COVID-19 lockdown as I travelled back to MY and forgot to sleep my desktop, so it runs 24/7 until a year later when I got back to JP (2021) laugh.gif
still runs fine as of today, still uses it daily as a side monitor

speaking about the U2723QE, actually I just ordered one a couple of days ago, should reach next week.
usually I don't really mind too much about the price of these displays since they are 10 times cheaper than my main display.
so ignoring the price, they should have a couple of things:
- USB C
- tons of USB ports, nice to have ethernet too
- VESA mountable
- built-in KVM
- thinnest bezel, and no ugly design
- IPS
- high brightness (i like to work next to the window)
- great panel
- calibrated
- solid warranty n pixel defect return

regarding the list of dell models, i think u can use this site

Salute you! 😅 max brightness, won't your eye hurt? I only put brightness 100% in HDR as HDR will adjust itself accordingly but in SDR, 100% how to see? even a very low 200 nits also crazy bright!

ah, my desktop and most stuffs are in dark mode, and I like to work next/near open window with plenty of sunlight.
so the monitor has to be exceptionally bright in dark mode for texts (used to crank it beyond the SDR 500 nits up to 1000-1600 nits depending on the amount of sun), but when most of the contents are white, then yea, 500 nits is blinding laugh.gif

Using them with windows? I remembered they kinda look weird on macOS (U3219Q on HDR), so I usually switch off the HDR and use it SDR mode. will try it again when the U2723QE reach

full time dark mode ok for me at such brightness, but if mainly white content, I will change the brightness laugh.gif

because all the listed monitors (U3219Q, U2723QE, U2720Q, U2720QM) don't actually support showing HDR biggrin.gif
what they do is that they are HDR 400, and all HDR 400 monitors are only capable of receiving HDR input, but then during the output it basically cranks up the backlight to 400 nits and without considering that black must be black, and bright must be bright, each speck has different brightness with it, and the dim/brightness range should be high, hence the HDR, which explains why u felt weird when using said monitor on HDR.

true HDR can only be shown by using OLED panels (ur high end smartphone and OLED TVs), mini-LED panels (500 local dimming zones minimum, 1000+ zones recommended), and in the future, micro-LED. all of which delivers up to 700 nits peak brightness, while some mini-LED panels may hit close to 2000 nits peak.

additionally, I don't think u actually able to crank the SDR brightness to beyond 1000 nits. the max brightness of said monitors are all around 350-400+ nits peak. very difficult to find a monitor which can crack its SDR brightness over 1000 nits. not even samsung odyssey g9 can do that (its SDR peak is 900+ nits)

the more u know icon_idea.gif
