Well, budget is around the Acer OLED pricing. So yea still thinking.

I mainly use it for gaming and Web scrolling.

Not much productivity work.

Still got time to think. Hehe

Thanks for the heads up

🍿👀🍷

Just check the price
Ok it is damn cheap, the cheapest so far.
Too bad Acer didn't provide ABL control, else this will be selling like hot cake. 😅

Dell UltraSharp 27 4K USB-C Hub Monitor - U2723QX

Dfo refurbished side

RM 2399.. the cancellation ppl sapu.. haih.. last week only

Btw dell dfo distributor here.. registered with Dell
*
I will not buy refurbished set. Refurbished set is those have issue and return back to factory, change spare part or etc. and return back to market.
If you lucky you probably get a very good unit, if not then you may need to paid more for the repairement as refurbished set normally no warranty or very short warranty period.

Hi guys can you recommend QHD27 inch monitor under RM600? mainly use for multimedia.
*
You better go for 24" Full HD.

Your cost is way too low. Nothing to recommended for 27" QHD.

yeap, that's IPS black..expectation for IPS black way too high, turns out really bad. but luckily it's just a side monitor, my eyes still prefer the XDR laugh.gif  laugh.gif
*
Lucky don't have more than 60hz IPS black, else I am one of the victim as well. The 60hz only stop me from purchasing it. 😅

The XDR is a freaking awesome monitor! I keep looking at it everytime I step in Apple store. 😅😅

How’s your experience with Mac supporting high refresh rate display? I haven’t tried using >60hz display so far

U mean the MacBook’s internal display or the external display?

This is my first mac, so I cannot tell. 😅

I mean the external display.

for samsung odyssey G5 G55T 32", what's the difference between model number that ends with XXS and XXM ? i saw these 2 models in shopee.
*
Country specific. Others than that no different.

This monitor is not good quality, here the review of the 27".

https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/sams...ssey-g5-c27g55t

In summary, it had noticeable black smearing, slow respond time, bad uniformity and low brightness for HDR. It is using old gen VA panel.

damn. I thought odyssey VA panel is good. must be overhyped. or only G7 good?
*
Odyssey series using 2nd gen VA is good, but so far only below few model:
  • Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 (not the 43")
  • Samsung Odyssey Neo G8
  • Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 (not sure 57" as not yet in market)

A lot of people recommended IPS screen and not VA Panel, which i can understand but I am perplexed when I looked into Samsung 4k monitor including their new Smart Monitor, M7 and M8, all are VA panels and not IPS.

Does VA Panel in this newer samsung monitor really still bad?

And does 4k HDR for OTT contents, meaning i can stream netflix in 4k?
And also i am looking at 28" UHD Monitor - R55, not sure this is a 4K monitor or not, since i dun see the 4k word in Samsung website
https://www.samsung.com/my/monitors/high-re...lu28r550uqexxs/
*
Samsung basically all product is VA or OLED only. They is very few VA is good, the rest all is bad. The model you mentioned is indeed 4K and IPS but it is a value model, don't expect very good thing and it also don't have HDR.

You want HDR which is true HDR is very costly, a minimum of RM 4.5k is required and it is 3440x1440 QD-OLED monitor from Dell - AW3423DWF
https://www.dell.com/en-my/shop/alienware-3...tor-accessories

For 4K good in HDR, you need to spend at least RM 6k.

Thank you so much for that, from your ultra wide thread I also managed to know the website rting, which have a very good review in monitors and from there the agak agak budget punya 4K monitor shall be the Samsung Odyssey Neo 8 (32 inch) , from there i think the HDR is good enough? although may not be true HDR
*
Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 is RM 6.5k official (now around RM 6k can get) and this monitor got scan line issue when set as 240hz. The HDR performance is good.

Another lower model Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 wise is RM 5.5k official (now around 4.8k can get). This one HDR also good but it is only 165hz, good thing is they is no scan line issue.

Both is premium monitor with 1000+ Local Dimming Zone with mini-LED in VA. Both basically no ghosting issue, no black smearing and very fast respond time with HDR 1000 capable. The cons is both is bad viewing angle which is the characteristic of VA panel.

Any idea if we will get this model in Malaysian market or is it already being brought in? Seems like a nice budget 1440p 240hz monitor (USA msrp $300), I would immediately buy this for fortnite and valorant

user posted image

EDIT: photo seems typo, it should be 27 inch
*
What panel also not mentioned, also since when got HDR350... HDR400 is the lowest and it is already bad. This 350 nits? They better make it SDR only monitor.

This will not be a good monitor, especially if it is VA or TN panel.

Dell 32 Curved 4K UHD Monitor - S3221QSDell 32 Curved 4K UHD Monitor - S3221QS

VA and 60hz, if for gaming purpose, then I will talk with Dell CS request cancel or top up for better model.

If for working purposes not involved HDR, not great but acceptable ok.

Here the review https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s3221qs

1.5K and below. Now that I think about it 32 inch might be too big for me. Hopefully tomorrow I can cancel the order with dell and see.
*
1.5k is a bit too low for a good 4K.

For 1440p in 27", you may consider GIGABYTE M27Q P (within your budget) or M27Q X (a bit over your budget)

After few day research is that getting a wqhd better or just a normal 27 QHD ? But lg oled also catch my eyes … really dunno which to get 1st cos I already using dual monitor , any sifu can recomend ?

I will suggest go for any brand of 34" 3440x1440 QD-OLED. You will impress how stunning the image quality especially on HDR performance.
