The thing with Alter, i dunno whether u guys noticed, they reduced their figure portfolio already - nyou only see like up to 4 PVCs go on preorder each month, and 2 releases each month, which means nowadays you wont see several month delays from Alter anymore. At ,most they delay 1 month only then sure release by then. Asuka also delayed one month only.

If anything, im afraid my preorder of GSC's Ciel Alencon, a 15,600yen figure, will delay from December 2014 to February 2015, then i sure die. Thats why i cant preorder Sora. The risk is there. Nowadays Many GSC figures delay by 2 months.

White Sora's release date is supposed to be today...If there's more delays, I think it would've been announced by now...Optimistically, shipping should start early next week...?
As for Alter reducing their releases, I think its probably a good thing (mostly for my wallet )...Already ordered Mefmera, a few others still in consideration for early next year...

Yup, a MFC member mentioned it in a thread, and then i started monitoring preorder/releases within the past few months and he was actually quite right. Alter is changing their releases in a way they cut down the number of figures they make and hence less delays, since they dont have the capacity to produce so much like Kotobukiya. Not a bad thing actually. While im kinda certain Sora Black Dress wont be released in Feb 2015, i kinda dont want to risk it. That is one figure that i can live without, just that it would be nice to own her because she looks fantastic.

And then 2 months later, half price bargain bin - probably. I would have been able to accept that price tag if it was 1/7 scale or bigger.

well barrgain bin or not it doesnt matter, figures nowaday dont worth much after market unlike olderr figures. penting can get hold of the figures u like can edy XD

Not a big fan of this one...It seems like a second-tier ripoff of a (in my opinion) far superior figure...Getting Clalaclan is actually a cheaper option...But then again, maybe calling it a ripoff is a bit too much, considering both are from the Shining series...

Clalaclan is indeed far far more detailed. Freya is like, erm, the red (grown up) Chaika in colors (if any one of you is watching the series Hitsugi no Chaika). She would look good with Saber Extra though.

I just think that when 2 figures by different companies and different sculptors look so alike, people tend to make comparisons...I don't completely hate Rosalinde though, I love the flowing hair, the top half of her armor, and the shield is pretty cool...Maybe if I didn't know the Clalaclan figure existed, I'd like Rosalinde more...

The hair isn't the only thing blocking her eyes...

But lets be honest here, not many are gonna be looking at her eyes...

From a figure photographer point of view, she is going to be a pain in the @$$ to take photos of because the hair fringes are going to create lots of shadows darkening the face especially the eyes.

This figure wont be cheap, not trying to spoil the fun here but I'd imagine she will cost at least 15,000yen - especially when Labrys goes for a preposterous 16,800yen price tag. It's like Alter intentionally trying to cash in the fans' money.

I have no idea how photography lighting works, but if the base LED is strong enough, wouldn't it offset the shadows caused by the fringes...? I'm sure thats a bad idea, but knowing you and your works, I'm sure you'll work some magic and figure out a way around it...
As for the price, I've already accepted the fact that I won't be getting this one unless it bins...

There will probably be ways to solve the lighting problem - which i will never find out until i get my hands on the figure itself, but the base's LED is definitely not the solution.

yeah, im definitely passing on this, it's a "nice to have because it's awesome, but can live without one" kind of figure. Unless it bins - but i dont think it will bin to the level of 40-50% off. It's Alter after all.
