QUOTE(Nawar @ Oct 29 2014, 07:29 PM)
any suggestions on how to panel line on white parts and not looking too black heavy?

are those panel wash technique easy to remove access on small tight areas like the head/face?

What type of paint is good n easy to use enamel, acrylic, oil color, ink etc?
*
Use gundam marker 02, or, get an Artline pen (0.01 size), or mechanical pencil (plus eraser).

Acrylic is the most plastic-friendly, but it is not highly scratch-resistant like enamel.

I've been buying gunplas for years but only now want to do panel lining, put decals and apply top coat.  sweat.gif
*
Very worth it to do so. More satisfaction when you custom paint your gunpla smile.gif

thanks for the info.. it is the easiest way to use marker.. yes grey will hv a gentle contrast on white.. but i still find the tip being to big and not as clean as panel wash technique..
*
Gently rub the panel lines with your thumb after panel lining. It'll smudge away the excess ink.

Some thoughts on the great white behemoth:

silver Sharpie is good for detailing, but if you wanted a bling-bling gold you can look for Artline 999XF Gold Marker brows.gif

is there 0.01? or did you mean 0.1?
the only sizes in 2 decimal points I've seen are 0.05, 0.03, 0.02

I think he meant he never saw the 999XF?
compared to 900XF and 990XF, 999XF is harder to find

Nope, I meant 0.01. Only two brands I've used before, Artline and Sakura Pigma.

The only problem I've had are those small ones on a curved surface (cannon barrel or gun barrel), I've not had them come off on flat surfaces. Typically all my surfaces have had the eraser treatment after I panel-lined them. Maybe that helps to remove the mold grease. You may want to try washing before assembly. Also, make sure you don't touch the tacky surface of the clear stickers with your bare fingers.

I've never topcoated my kits whistling.gif

where did you buy it?
afaik I've only seen 0.03(Copic) the smallest, even when I searched art stores and architect tools shops
I've used Artline and Sakura too and the smallest is 0.05
would be glad if you could point out to me where I could buy it icon_rolleyes.gif

PS: if you meant Sakura Pigma 0.01, not 0.01mm, then you're right
the 0.01 is the model number, where the real size is 0.25mm
