The so called 'unstable' message name is due to the missing +60 prefix in the phone numbers, there's an easy fix for that. What camera bug? Camera is superb not giving any problems. No network disconnections either. and yes i'm on the latest international version.

I just received my Redmi 1s today )
I noticed it is still 27.0 (the ROM) and no latest version via OTA. This phone is for my mom so I don't want to flash manually or root it. Anyone knows when will the latest 29.0 arrive via OTA?

tried going through the settings to manually check for d update already?

Which rom to install ? cyanogenmod ?

from the facebook application after i click on a link , it opens up a new browser... then when i go back to facebook app , its has to reload and at the top again (likely lack of memory). anything can be done to make facebook open a internal browser (like in ios) ?

seem like FB Messenger FBM got issue with 1s v29 la.. sometime when message arrive, chat head will show then will vanish... then when open FBM again, sometime it ok but sometime it will vanish again when typing reply

sometime chathead didnt show at screen but only at notification panel

Put the app on auto-start if it's not. and lock the app in memory : long press home button - swipe the FB messenger icon down. do report back if that helps.

Easiest is the Miui wcdma non global ROM. Download the file and use Updater to install.

Even I geeky also I don't like flash or root my iphone and note3. In fact, I ban all rooted phones from office wifi.

Redmi 1s is one of the exception also because of the Global rom which should not be released imho, it's simply too jerky and eats up too much ram even without opening any apps, 70% of the ram is gone with the Global rom.

Goto Play store, search number fixer, install it. Use the number fixer to append +6 to all numbers. For example handphone number is 0124567890 which is a 10 digit number, append +6 it becomes +60124567890. Do not append +60.

Do report back if it works for you. I've done it on 3 redmi 1s units.
