Hi all,
I've lost patience with forever delaying zenfone 5 in malaysia so decided to switch back to xiaomi (planned to buy xiaomi hongmi in the very first place then got distracted by lower price zenfone).

Now back researching xiaomi, I've listed xiaomi hongmi note and xiaomi 1s as my choices. It seems to me that the major difference is the processor, camera & ram. Is there anything else that I've missed? Will the processor difference produce great difference on the phone? Am I correct that xiaomi note's camera is better than xiaomi 1s due to the MP?

I'm actually finding a dual sim phone with good camera (good as in point and capture coming to sharp photo, fast enough to capture photos of my doggies also when they're moving). And of course, the phone should be responsive enough.

Is there anyone here who's nice enough to advice me on which to take?

not able to give a good review so far, as i get Mi3 1st then only Redmi 1s, so far feels a bit slow when trying to change or quit application, but still because of the price so i still think that it is worth it!

Which rom to install ? cyanogenmod ?

Can simply flash to other rom without any camera driver ? later camera cannot work?

I assume you are a mid user.
If only doing stuff like email, browsing and whatsapp then Redmi1S is suit to your mid usage.
You will need to concern about the battery drain issues only.
Last time I using my redmi mid usage I can get about 4 hour Screen On Time.
But now, Im using the phone high usage mode due to my COC game it get only 2-3 hour screen on time.
Lucky me that I have spare battery (and waiting for my second spare battery from last saturday sales ) so I dont have to worry about the battery drain issues anymore.

Dunno about Redmi 1 battery life but you can compare it using this result.
