Actually i am being told by Welldone Workshop staff that they cut the wire also. I didnt watch how they do it but they said there is no other way besides cut, connect with new wire and ground it "somewhere". I told them someone recommended me to see them because they "tap" the wire but again they told me cut. I am not sure what he meant by cut but whoever go there again please clarify further. I just dont want to bother much and go ahead because having to pull handbrake to play video is a big turn off.

Worst case, if the HU kaput, just got to eat up the cost.

For S/S+/E spec owners, this dramatically improves sound quality and stereo imaging. thumbup.gif

Got this fixed for RM180, separate crossover/high-pass filter included.

Before installing this, I set my EQ at Bass +1, Treble +6 (maxxed).
Now, Bass +2, Treble +2.

Installing on top of dashboard rather than at the door handle compartment improves stereo imaging effect.

actually its BOTH.. biggrin.gif

basically what u do, is u : (1) Cut the wire.... then (2) u short / connect the cut wire (player side) to the grounding / any metal part of the car  icon_idea.gif

so I take it that even if something bad happens and you re-assemble the wire back to factory defaults it would still be useless right ? wink.gif

i think dealing with the roof and rear boot would be sufficient enough .. doors could come later wink.gif

from the explanation by Howie from EAauto, he told me the worse part of the new city comes from the wheels + doors. the boot would not enhance much in audio. roof is for sound proof when it rains,

The shop is right, basically you hav to cut the wire coz u need isolate the wire of brake signal from the other end of the line. if u use tapping, ur bypass will work, but u will always get the red "!" Handbrake symbol light on all d time, together with the annoying "ding ding" sound warning u ur handbrake still engaged cool2.gif

Actually everything has a solution, not cutting the wire can b done but the works r much more troublesome n takes a bit more time of theirs....I don't think workshop gonna charge u for only RM60 or less.. cool2.gif especially when anything happens to ur HU after years gone n u wan claim warranty time, n u need go back to the shop for after-service asking them to restore back, that's another trouble for them again... shakehead.gif
