Thanks for the info dude,
I was thinking about the same thing but what I've gathered is that if the wires are not cut , the warranty should not be void.the similar concept applies when u install the back spoiler for the module kit whereby u need to drill holes on the back and connect the wires, however is the wires are not cut,the warranty should not be void
The software for the touch screen kinda reminds me a bit of ios itself, looks jailbreakable if us ask me but I just don't know how.i hope that in further updates the iOS in the car feature maybe added.
To carry out the so called HU "bypass", no choice but u need to isolate the wire, which is to cut the wire, to be simple.

Well, there is always alternate ways to do things, however its too complicated to explain in words and many might not understand even if is explained a thousand time in a thousands way...
in a simple way to explain it >> remove/extract one of the blue wire from the HU connector, then attached a new wire into the connector socket n short/connect it to earth ground... or...second alternate ways if u feel sayang or scared to cut wire, is to find an aftermarket connector adapter which connect/extend the connection (male-to-female), that way u can happily cut the adapter wire to do the bypass n will b stress-free no need worry to void the warranty, as if anything happens, u can always remove the adapter n connect back the original connector

however in the market now sadly still no such 'adapter' sold. im still looking for any electronic shop which sell the exact connector socket, and then i gonna DIY the adapter myself

roger me if u know anywhere sells the connector, free TT on me , with extra roti canai of ur choice

Lastly, pls raise ur hand if u understand what ive just explained. hahah!!
