"Your Honda engine was delivered with an oil that is specially formulated for new engines that have not yet developed their "natural" wear patterns and may contain minute particles from the manufacturing process.
American Honda strongly recommends this special oil be left in the engine long enough for these wear patterns to develop, usually until the first maintenance interval specified in your Owner's Manual, based on your specific driving conditions"
*
When they mention "until the FIRST MAINTEANCE INTERVAL",does our 1000km(or 1month) consider just an INSPECTION or MAINTENANCE? 1000km or 10,000km in this case? hhmm hmm.gif

also i realize the ICE for V Spec HU does not comes with any EQ settings for u to set, they only have Bass & Treble doh.gif ...

instead of replacing a totally new HU with EQ, anyone knows is there any component with Plug&Play that can attached to the HU so we can play around or change the EQ depending on the type of songs we play? (if possible change everything via the touch screen HU display would be even more cool whistling.gif ..hehe ) any good suggestion or method to solve the doubts?

Performing the bypass would it void the warranty? I've been getting mixed answers on this, some shops would say to cut the wire and some says to "short" the wire.  rclxub.gif
*
actually its BOTH.. biggrin.gif

basically what u do, is u : (1) Cut the wire.... then (2) u short / connect the cut wire (player side) to the grounding / any metal part of the car icon_idea.gif

Actually i am being told by Welldone Workshop staff that they cut the wire also. I didnt watch how they do it but they said there is no other way besides cut, connect with new wire and ground it "somewhere". I told them someone recommended me to see them because they "tap" the wire but again they told me cut. I am not sure what he meant by cut but whoever go there again please clarify further. I just dont want to bother much and go ahead because having to pull handbrake to play video is a big turn off.

Worst case, if the HU kaput, just got to eat up the cost.
*
The shop is right, basically you hav to cut the wire coz u need isolate the wire of brake signal from the other end of the line. if u use tapping, ur bypass will work, but u will always get the red "!" Handbrake symbol light on all d time, together with the annoying "ding ding" sound warning u ur handbrake still engaged cool2.gif

Actually everything has a solution, not cutting the wire can b done but the works r much more troublesome n takes a bit more time of theirs....I don't think workshop gonna charge u for only RM60 or less.. cool2.gif especially when anything happens to ur HU after years gone n u wan claim warranty time, n u need go back to the shop for after-service asking them to restore back, that's another trouble for them again... shakehead.gif

8 speaker audio system in V spec sucks, is it because of the head unit? What can i do to make it better. Any suggestion? icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif  icon_question.gif
*
sadly the ori V spec HU got no Equalizer selection, but u can change the level of Bass / Treble, thats all sad.gif speakers n tweeter r just so so only, and tweeter position would be better if located on the front dash instead of door panel..

im considering to upgrade my audio sys as well..

U should reply earlier...

i just bought mine RM260......
*
Sry bro, din know u looking for carplate number. haha!

nvm, RM210 (from mysikap) and RM260 is only RM50 difference. as long as get ur fav number, then price doesnt matter.First I went JPJ but cannot find my number, so simply pick any number for RM2xx. Then later on i discover MySikap, i spend another RM210 to buy my Fav number, and throw away the first bought number... so total damage RM4xx++ , but at least i manage to get the number i want rclxms.gif

I thought buy number at JPJ is rm210 only?

I just got mine not long ago at that price...
*
take queue number and wait then buy the running numbers that u like at counter, is RM210, thats correct. .. However, u can also go inside to meet the Pengarah, he/she has a list of 3digits and 'nombor kahwin' numbers, listed with a fix variety of price, for u to choose from....those number sold sepeartely with different price brows.gif

all the nicer numbers in pairs (xxyy, xyxy, xyyx, yxxy) as long as not being tendered by anyone yet, it will be filter out and hold by the pengarah... cool2.gif so if u looking for twin-pair numbers and u at counter, for sure they will say the number no more available.. coz already filtered out to be sold with higher price oledi mah brows.gif

So I am trying the nmber from 100-1000. All cant be access on mysikap... hmm hmm.gif
I want the number 122
*
correct me if im wrong, mysikap 3digit number u need wait till the series started already, then u can start purchase.

Also for numbers from 100-999, it wont show in the RANGE(julat) selection for u to pick one by one in the list. but there is a trick to know that number still avail or not :

> u select range of 50 for the number u r looking for, it wil show error 500 "Ralat dlm system bla bla bla...for input string : "____" . that ____ number means available number.
for example: if u looking for 122, if u type range 122-150 (if it say "bla bla bla ...input string :122" , means that number still avail... if it says "input string : 125 ", means the next available is 125

> then u need to directly enter the number, instead of selecting the range (julat) to purchase the number.

Hope u understand what i mean smile.gif Beaufort number plate is now running number SB 7xx C, u can try out like SB8xxC as experiment, and u will understand what i mean brows.gif

Mind sharing with me how to get the My Sikap login? Which counter should we go to?
*
MySikap login procedures :

1) Go to ANY JPJ branch, find their customer service, and tell them u want to register for MySikap biggrin.gif (Note : some of the junior staffs might not understand what is mysikap, but if u mention "MyID", they will "ooohhhh~~"... basically to them its the same thing doh.gif )

2) give them ur IC and verify then fill up the form with yr email address (they will email details to u as well , so make sure give a REAL working email ya, dont give tipu tipu fake email)

3) Then they will print you a copy of temporary password / no Rujukan >> JOB DONE!! Go home!! thumbup.gif

*Total time spend : around 10-15mins Only!! tongue.gif

next,

4) go home and login to https://public.jpj.gov.my/... and select FIRST TIME LOGIN / DAFTAR MASUK KALI PERTAMA

5) Key in ur reference no n password as given and follow the step by step

6) Once login, change ur own password . DONE! thumbup.gif Congratulation! and start scratching ur head with sleepless night, on thinking which carplate number to pick drool.gif

I experienced this once so far but thought it was a bug. I was inside the car with the key and engine was running, then out of a sudden my gf was able to open the boot by just pressing the release button even without the key dry.gif.

As far as I know for Teana, the boot can only be opened when the key is nearby the boot... unlike this City >(

IMO we should all raise a complain to Honda Msia vmad.gif
*
Just remember to lock your car all the time. Ive tried and tested, with engine running, if u never lock ur car, yes u can still open the boot with the boot button, its exactly like the passenger door anyone still can open ur door n jump into ur back seat if u nvr lock the door....

But IF u lock ur door, dont worry, ur boot button will not open the boot... function exactly like passenger doors. thumbup.gif

Whoever wants to experiment that, u can try it urself.. just wind down the driver windows n start the engine, n put ur hand in to lock the door... Conclusion : if door is locked, NO WAY u can open the boot... but if u didnt lock the door, YES WAY, any monkeys oso can press the boot button to open the boot n jump inside ur boot

So peoples, just remember locking ur door all the time. Treat ur things in ur boot like ur hot chicks in the back passenger seats... no lock door, anyone can open n grab ur chicks away ph34r.gif

Thanks for the info dude,
I was thinking about the same thing but what I've gathered is that if the wires are not cut , the warranty should not be void.the similar concept applies when u install the back spoiler for the module kit whereby u need to drill holes on the back and connect the wires, however is the wires are not cut,the warranty should not be void

The software for the touch screen kinda reminds me a bit of ios itself, looks jailbreakable if us ask me but I just don't know how.i hope that in further updates the iOS in the car feature maybe added.
*
To carry out the so called HU "bypass", no choice but u need to isolate the wire, which is to cut the wire, to be simple. blink.gif Well, there is always alternate ways to do things, however its too complicated to explain in words and many might not understand even if is explained a thousand time in a thousands way... rclxub.gif

in a simple way to explain it >> remove/extract one of the blue wire from the HU connector, then attached a new wire into the connector socket n short/connect it to earth ground... or...second alternate ways if u feel sayang or scared to cut wire, is to find an aftermarket connector adapter which connect/extend the connection (male-to-female), that way u can happily cut the adapter wire to do the bypass n will b stress-free no need worry to void the warranty, as if anything happens, u can always remove the adapter n connect back the original connector thumbup.gif however in the market now sadly still no such 'adapter' sold. im still looking for any electronic shop which sell the exact connector socket, and then i gonna DIY the adapter myself whistling.gif roger me if u know anywhere sells the connector, free TT on me , with extra roti canai of ur choice smile.gif

Lastly, pls raise ur hand if u understand what ive just explained. hahah!! icon_rolleyes.gif

alot of member here suffer from rattle noise from door, right? are you sure its from the door? try to tap your roof top, mine rattle even thou I only tap it slowly...like got some cable up there loose... and the noise it produce, the same noise i thought it came from my door...
*
Did u install reverse camera? as what ive seen, many accessory shop will route the wiring from back to front, either underneath the floor carpet (normally this is the way they route it, along with other wirings...unless they having problem opening certain floor panels/carpets), or some shops will route the wiring in the ceiling panel (easier n faster job). If u got install reverse camera, high chance it could be the wires for that smile.gif

I think it wont work. I believe the wire is not just for sending signal from the brake to the HU. It also send a feedback to the car system to inform if the handbrake is engaged or not. By adding new wire, you will tell the car system that the brake is always engaged. therefore the warning light on the meter panel will not go off and warning sound will be on all the time. Don't know you understand or not my explanation. But it's just my theory.. huhu
*
i understand what u mean, tats y for other members if do the bypass u will need to cut the wire to isolate the input signal for the HU telling ur HU ur handbrake is pulled, n u r allowed to use the display for movie. Ive tried if just directly tapped the wire or inserted a new wire into the same connection without cutting the wire, it will work, however u also gets the handbrake light all the time lighted on

come for TT with me in PJ ara damansara area and lets discuss and i can explain to u what im trying to mean, but u have to help me source for the connector.. smile.gif

This is the connector i need... this female, and the male side as well whistling.gif
