I forgot to pay my CC on due date and got charged RM100. After 1 week from due date and reliazed such late payment and made full payment. I asked for waiver of such late fee, not interest and they rejected.

I was thinking to cancel it since it is 1% rebate without point..wonder any other banks do have better offer or use points to offset rebate and the exchange point is greater than 1%?

a bit suprised cos normally if u always pay on time and esp in full, if you miss one payment or late, they will waive all the penalty and interest charges

suggest that u either call or fax in your complaint that OCBC does not appreciate your business

Just called to cancel and asked for the reason.

They can waive for the late fee of RM100 but interest is unable to waive. Asked me if I can accept the offer to retain.

I accepted.

Anyway, is there any other cc which has better rebate besides oCBC? (except Maybank 2Kard.. I have it)

Buying online have to take precaution. Like I will only include the card to my Paypal when I need to shop. Using MBB's AMEX BTW. AMEX card's fraud case are very high, so MBB will stop any transaction if I don't call CS to approve the transactions.
Once complete my online purchase, I'll remove AMEX from my Paypal account.

just called to cancel the card after receive message about waiver request being declined..

Seems like they don't really care about people cancelling the card. The CS don't even bother to retain me.. maybe i did not spend too much on this..

What's you spending like? If > rm1000 and <rm2000, still the second card is the world's kampung hero card, WISE.
When you decide to use WISE, only petrol(must do transaction on the automated pump's machine) and groceries(Tesco, Giant, AeonBig, Mydin sure can get) and mobile will ensure you 8.25% of cash back.
BTW, if you are having good payment record, they can waive it. Guess with the latest OPR hike and to ensure the staffs are getting 6-12 months bonus, cheating the on penalty fees are 1 of the way.
Other than that will be HSBS, also all kind of excuse or CIMB.
