Just saw GE Plat is only 1% if spend at least RM 1k.
I hardly spend RM 1k on my OCBC Ti, it makes more sense for me to terminate my current Ti and not changing to GE Plat.

Maybe I really need to go for Aeon Watami already... Was quite reluctant due to its design. laugh.gif

AEON watami gives 3% cash back every quarter subject to:

a) min spend of RM 3K per quarter; and

b) capped at Max spend of RM5k per quarter

If u can't spend 3k per quarter, forget about watami. You get ZERO cash back. Just reward points.

Better of with OCBC, 1% for first 1k per mth.
*
Erm. Makes sense, I hardly spend more than RM 3k on my other cards besides Maybank combo.
If that's the case, I'll make an enquire soon to switch to GE Plat.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Apr 12 2015, 04:20 PM)
lol, make me terkejut because i just convert my card without reading the t&c in detail.

i don't see why not with watami. you spend every month 1k. by 3 months or per quarter already 3k. hmm.gif
*
No la. I will not spend so much on other cards, my main spending still goes to my M2Cards. biggrin.gif

Im in shanghai atm and will back to Malaysia tomorrow.

Two days ago Iong story short, I've been arrested by the so called Mafias/gangsters at Shanghai Downtown and been asked to pay RM15000 if want them to let u go. But I dont have such amount. So they take all my credit card and charged it until each credit card limit.

So the damage was almost RM5000 from my OCBC card and RM4000 from my maybank card. I've been forced to sign the payment slip with a knife shown at me.

So yesterday I went to Malaysia Embassy in Shanghai to seek protection and to ask their advise because the mafias/gangsters have all my details captured i.e. my passport, my ic, my hotel address, my fb and few pics on my phone and been asked not to make a police report. So been told by The Embassy officer that in china their system is different. They will not simply release u a police report unless its major crime involving death etc. Mine consider minor (WTF??)

So now is it possible for me to make a report police in Malaysia in order for me to file the transaction for dispute? Will police report in Malaysia valid for such claim? Anyone have been in this kind of situation before?

So headache. Haihhh
*
Sorry for your loss. Care to let me know how did you being arrested by them and why did they choose you? hmm.gif

I fall into their stupid trap. Please read on the internet about East Nanjing Lu. All same modus operandi

To others who want to come to Shanghai, please avoid this area or atleast dont entertain anyone who approach u. Other than this area, Shanghai is pretty much safe.
*
Let me tell you, I shared your story with my China colleagues. They are now based in Malaysia, one was from Beijing and another one from Shanghai.

They told me, the first thing you should do is report to the police in China. They are very efficient and they are trying to get rid of this kind of cheaters and gangsters in China. Moreover, big cities like Shanghai and Beijing take safety issue seriously. I had stayed in Beijing before and I know how safe it is.

If you make police reports, they usually prioritize foreigners. So, they advise you not to waste time and make a police report in China.

About being threatened by them, there is no such thing, what can they do with your details.

All the best. smile.gif

Miss Fruitie,

Yesterday before I took my flight to KL, I went and try to make a police report at the Airport Police Station, But been told in China u need to go back to the area where the case happened and make a police report at the station which responsible for the said area. In this case East Nanjing Rd Police Station. I did went to the said police station a day before yesterday, but the police want to bring me back to the gangster place which happen just beside their station to confront with them. But I refuse to do so because afraid of my safety since they know my room no and hotel and I still have 1 more day before my flight back.

So at the police station in airport, they told me since I am a tourist and need to fly back yesterday, I am allowed to ask any local people or if I have a friend in Shanghai, and authorize them to submit a report on my behalf at the local police station i.e. East Nanjing Rd.

So is it possible if I can pay your friend or his/her friends in Shanghai to submit my report etc?

I have done with a police report in Malaysia last night, but afraid that the bank will reject and keep asking for a police report in China.

Hope to hear from u soon.
*
As you may know that my friend is already in Malaysia but she is not comfortable to ask her friend to help you to do as none of us knows you personally. Hope you will understand.
Moreover, it is very normal for China police to request to go back to know the actual location, so you should have followed that time and change hotel after that. smile.gif Even you didn't follow, they didn't help you to make a police report?

Nobody calls me back until now. Lazy to call them.

Not so urgent, so let's wait for their call.

it's the same procedure lol... if you ask for card conversion, they will send you a new card and you need to terminate the existing yourself (or you still want to keep, depends on you).  brows.gif

Ive just called up and asked for conversion for my Ti to GE. The first question they ask is whether I have GE policy with me. As I have autodebit for my GE policy to Ti last time, he immediately acknowledged that he can see my record from there.

The CS also said all the autodebit (including other insurance comp) will be transferred to the new card once its approved.  I dont have to muanually trasnferred. Thumbs up and I hope its true. smile.gif
*
Ah, then this is good. biggrin.gif
Thanks for the information. Really lazy to call my insurance agent to get him done back end. biggrin.gif

sorry, i mean auto-ipp will be 0.1%.  sweat.gif

if not mistaken, auto-debit for ge plan rm2.2k and above will be automatically converted to auto-ipp which is why it becomes 0.1%.
*
Sorry, I don't get it. Now my GE auto-debit in OCBC Ti is RM 250 per month. So, if I change it to GE Plat, will it be changed to 0.1% only?
