Dang i was speeding like crazy suddenly i noticed my temp rising kindda high than usual. Need to get that check asap. I still have not recieved any news about my booked bike also. Planning to send my car for a thorough checkup. It'll probably gonna take me a month or two. With my kancil as my main transportation its gonna be tough.

Sigh~ To make is more interesting aircond compressor, drive shaft, wheel bearing also starts giving way. FYI, after change the new GB, my drive shaft rubber cover (at the outer connection) prone to tear. 3 times in 2 years to be exact. For the interior, water starts leaking at clutch pedal during raining & normal problem for kancil mata bulat, green screen at dashboard & lamp illuminating it does not functioning. Pity my kancil. So... even though this car brings me plenty of headache, I am thinking to turn her into a project car. With help from a friend of mine (workshop located at pasar borong selangor area), he manage to find a half cut L5, 4 cylinder, manual. The half cut just reach his workshop today. I dont want to post any q today, but just a simple into of myself. Keep on Kei-ing! Thanks! and welcome to the thread! |

EF-DET is the choice if u consider speed but with 3 piston, the vibration will not be enjoyable as much. as for JB DET (im using JB DET engine) from my own experience its more stable with less vibration with ok speed and cruising with this engine is heavenly (for me at least). both engine are from around 2000-ish i think so also take that into consideration. L260s - this is the newest engine u can get from daihatsu thou if u can tell the code engine it would be nice since this model got two different engines. one is turbo-charged (also using EF-DET engine which is a 3 piston engine) and another is DVVT only. i dont have any experience regarding this engine. depending on what type of engine do u want, i think both will give u a driving pleasure than ur regular kancil's engine lol.... this engine comes from cars around 2002 above. so take that as consideration too... and wow 5K++? personally i think its kindda expensive side thou.... mine was around 3k (the JB DET engine with all parts installed) well minus another sum amount of money for the interior... as for parts, JB JL is most common to find right now... (well not as many as L200s mia engine but yeah still available) as for JB-DET and EF-DET... its not hard to find but yeah u need to take a look around a bit la to find it. as for the EF VE (the L260s DVVT engine) im not familiar with this engine so i guess the parts are quite hard? dunnue... thou u can kacuk one with other if its comparable this is from my personal opinion only.... like i said the important thing is the foreman that u choose to transplant the engine. its pretty sad that some of the foreman are taking advantage and at the end of the day u need to fork out more money just to repair the engine because of the wrong doings from ur foreman. thanks... |
