How about this? Good to pay visit? I’m reading many pages of info in this forum , but still not sure how to buy. I pay a visit the other day at Sunway to LovenCo and Tomei and WahChan, I think 0.3 they are saying pricing of 8 k and 0.23~ about 5k. Malaysia btw....

I actually feels like all the same to me, just size bigger or smaller. Haha...my poor eyes.

kambing bro, today i went for a view and got 2 selections of below. Quite tough to select for me. Hope to have your advice.

DIA#1
GIA 2324548767
HCA score: 3.1
Price: approx. rm4,000++
Findings: the diamond looks whiter and hence brighter. using scope, able to see some slight inclusion, but very minor.

DIA#2
GIA 2296030352
HCA score: 1.3
Price: approx. rm3,700++
Findings: the diamond looks slightly smaller (only visible when comparing side by side). using scope, able to see a slightly eye catching inclusion near the centre of the diamond. color might be not whiter than DIA#1, but when rotating under light, it seems to give more contrast of fire, sparkle, etc. (not too sure how to describe the proper term). being told that it was giving more 'contrast'

Both diamonds are able to spot the nice arrows, but not hearts as they are not in loose.

Really difficult to make a call. Hope to have some of your ideas. icon_question.gif grin.gif

Ring is just a symbol nothing important. You not married with the ring but your gf.

Which link you referring to? The direct link to the diamond on Brian Gavin page? The diamond has been bought by me, so no longer available.

Or the link to my blog? Which is this: https://www.myengagementringexperience.com/...ound-2.html?m=1

Or the link to the diamond video:

Wah Chan prices are okay if you want size. Usually their fair prices should be good. Tomei I am not sure. Love & Co is more expensive.

But 0.3ct for 8k? Consider this instead :

The first diamond's proportions is guaranteed to leak light. Hence you only see white or brighter. But not as much fire as the other.

On paper, diamond 2 actually has a bigger dimension, maybe the brightness makes diamond 1 look bigger instead but diamond 1 is not something I will buy.

Diamond 2 proportions is over okay. Between these 2, I will get this one.

You may want to try Zcova's promo as well:

Yup. This is true.

I think there is a slowdown in the market after speaking to a jeweller.

In fact, based on my observation, people are opting something that looks bigger but cheaper, like aquamarine or sapphire.

Anyway, whatever that float each person's boat.

GIA cert can only check proportions. Cutting need Hearts and Arrows scope.

Zcova is for one-stop service. You can try to see what options they are providing.

Usually if buy from Brian Gavin, I will just it on Malaysia. But understand that you want a one-stop service, then you can consider Zcova or Wah Chan, or even Memory Jewellery.

What I understand is that zcova don't have physical stones usually, and will only provide if the supplier has it.

For wah Chan, you can opt for loose stones where you can look at the Hearts and Arrows, but I would recommend you to use your phone camera to slowly position it above the scope so that it is easier for you to get an easier view without stressing your eyes. Of course, you have to ask for permission first because the salesperson may not like you do so. If cannot, use your eyes and see if you cna find a Hearts that is as close as what I posted on my blog.

For memory jewellery, ask them to look for 100% Hearts and Arrows diamond at the carat size you want. If you want to be very strict, some of them are not 100% Hearts and Arrows but they should be clos enough based on my observation of their supplier inventory.

Between these 2, I would prefer 5333685074. Reason is that I don't prefer star length at 45%.

Do you have images or videos?

Hi sifus,

Went to Wah Chan today and two caught my attention:

GIA 2308060014
GIA 2326084809

Any comments on the crown and pavillion angles? I cant remember which readings are good.

GIA 2308060014... 36 degree crown angle is probably too steep. But this will be the better one among the 2.

GIA 2326084809... 36.5 degree and 63% total depth. Too steep. Too deep.

Buying from Wah Chan, if there is solitaire club, compare the Solitaire Club diamonds against the standard ones. You should be able to see some difference.

Have you tried the HCA tool as well? https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca

Much thanks for the comments Sifu kambingkoh. I cant find the WahChan shop (OneU branch) listing under the Solitaire Club website. Will go other shops and have a look.
