Tried a PG neck while it didnt worked for me the 59 always does. i have about 6 of those things in house..

500k pots in the LP?

PG is bright and snappy, very "un-Gibson" but since my Classic has been dark and muddy, it works well. I guess its also dependant on what you play, if i played heavier stuff the older 500 and 489s would be a better fit

not sure what values, but stock standard, thought of changing them but its not just bright enough

too bright and the LP starts to sound like my tele

so 59 to replace the 500t in bridge?
but a 59 is also another pickup more popular for the neck...

nah.. 59 is a great all round pup

and you thought only for blues, its not

lamb of god used them in the past, also ola chug his fender cs with a 59 bridge

it you're LP is dark i will check the pots man .. some 90s gibby has 300k pots and they make your sound muddy aas hell

hey now that you have the PG bridge can you record some clips clean, semi clean to crunch?

its what i already do, and higher o/p pups tend to be harder to control and have a certain sound to it that doesn't fit the bridge. kinda you have this dynamic bridge and suddenly on the neck its bloated mud

sure, ill do it over the weekend, but clean wont be though the marshal, my recording rig sucks with cleans for some reason

there are some other mods to brighten it like taking off the screw side of the pups

maybe try some metal too.. but no rush man just curious about the PGs..
